I needed to make somethings happen in the game after certain periods of time, however I cant hard code those time periods as they can be very random, SO…
I made an Event Scheduler module which allows me to easily execute any amount of functions at any given time.
Ended up spending all day on this but I’m pretty proud. When panning and zooming around the mouse stays relative to the world. Basically it feels like dragging the entire world around but really it’s just clever camera tricks.
When I first finished texturing my first cherub, I wasnt pleased with it. The metal looked really terrible and to bring out the detail in the normal map I had to increase it so high that it looked like water.
I soon after discovered what HDRs were. Basically they are the equivalent to skyboxes in roblox and they reflect off of any shininess in your model. (before I was using the standard unicolor-grey sky). This makes your textures look a million times more realistic.
I didnt get around to retexturing the mesh with and HDR until last night but I completed it this morning and the improvement in amazing.
Also a renowned titanic sculptor recently remade the cherub using photographs. He got it bronzed and this helped me a lot with making sure the textures were correct.
You are a great example as to why I think the Roblox community is so great. You are always creating something new & that’s Inspiring. Keep up the great work!
