Egg hunt April 2016

April 16th*

Got rid of surface GUIs for an in development mobile/computer game. Huge difference, but does anyone know of anything else to make text more crystal clear for mobile?

do you know if this new Vulkan support will help with it?

The way Roblox renders text right now is not the best and will definitely see some improvements in the future. There might be a band-aid solution on the way in the relatively near future but overall I believe the final goal is #TeamCrispy.

Because the characters are so small and PathfindingService intervals are too far apart, I’m gonna have to write my own A* algorithm… ;D

Adding some more islands to Island Empire.

Made this in about half an hour during a stream.

A recent project was making a titanic lifeboat. My friend (AricsuI) my this really high poly model. He actually got all these side boards to curve along the boat.


added some stuff to it

textured the stuff

then baked the stuff onto a lower poly mesh (only 500 tris)

Turned out pretty decent

Its like ten times better than out old lifeboat and also 24 less parts
