Now I know its not much, but this is early coding. Current the AIs form up a small 5 man squad and track the target before opening fire. There is also pathfinding, that works, but I need to add obstacle avoidance as at the moment squad mates get stuck on corners when following the squad lead… Remember when I posted earlier this year about writing a working GOAP based AI? Well, I’m re-writing it now, and will be using it with this project. Very excited.
Credits: @x_o’s bike scripts @ProbableAI made the scripts for the help UI filtering enabled friendly. And the rest is by me (character, bike and ramps, along with that I’ve added a trick myself). What you guys think?
Known bug: If you’re afk too long (not pressing any buttons) your character and bike will disappear.
Progress continues! Springs are now working and Axles (shown in the first frame of the video) can connect to anything and rotate said thing once I add in inputs/outputs.
Currently working on some prefabrication for the new base I’m making. It’s for the group The Ancient Domain (a stargate based group which is one of the oldest stargate fan groups on roblox.) It’ll come complete with a functioning power system, crystal controls, sliding doors, life support, shields, and AI opponents. This base is my attempt to evolve the Lantean architecture seen in Stargate: Atlantis, while maintaining some of the other aspects, as our group lore states that we would be around 10000 years removed from when Atlantis was built.
Time frame for this entire project should be done by the end of the summer, the scripts are almost done, so all that is left really will be putting a bunch of the other prefabricated stuff I have together into a nice building we’ve designed. Feedback would be appreciated if any of you enjoy Stargate lore like we do.
Note: I’m planning on reducing the neon, and refining some of the other designs, I went a bit overboard on the initial build.
