It’s a far cry from being my best work, but @buildthomas seems content with it, so that’s enough for me.
Less of a roblox development, more of a personal development;
I’ve picked up running again since early-ish november last year. I started off with a 5k route that took me an hour to complete, with a lot of walking within that.
As of today, I’ve hit a new personal best; a 6:30 minute mile. I run 5k at 30 minutes, and 10k at just over an hour. After my workplace shutdown in august, I’d begun to fall into a pretty big downward slump, running has really helped me stay above that and has given me a pretty big push to improve myself and the things I work with. Its not the best times, but I’m really rather proud of it.
tl;dr, I run better than I did before.
No guards:
1 Guard:
2 Guards:
3 Guards:
Screw it im going loud number of Guards:
Wrote my own pathfinder (finally!) using Dijkstra’s Algorithm, which someone recommended I should learn that before A*… Anywho! Now that I have my own pathfinder to use, I can finally start playing around with something I’ve been wanting to do for farrr tooo loooong, creating an AI that appears to be “smart” because it has a “smarter” path. For this I’m going to try and create an simple ish game where a single AI is trying to steal a random object off the map while trying to sneak around guards, however should stealth not be an option then the AI will attempt to preform a smash and grab. At the moment I only have a pathfinder algorithm and no AI, the AI won’t be too much work for me but the majority of the work will be fine-tuning the algorithm… That and I actually need to create a plugin to place nodes for me, because right now automatic node connection is providing weird results with the AI taking nodes that will be in direct line of sight of the guards because one or two nodes is not in the guards line of sight, even though the path is.
On top of fixing ugly graph, I also need to modify my algorithm to return a bool that’ll let the AI know it can stealth, or its gotta go loud.
This is a pretty exciting achievement for me, I’m finally getting closer to making a dream come true. <3
Don’t forget to cache results when possible. Allows you to literally avoid running the entire algorithm if your start/end points are the same.
Looking good dude!
#TeamSunglasses
When I think of bitter I tend to think rather of a cool green, the one that lies closer to blue on the color spectrum. Looks nice tho
The team bitter place’s yellow just looks almost unbearable to look due to how bright it is.
Is that… Summoner’s Rift?
randomly built a small house.
(update: added flower box, and some other things)
which is also free to take if you want; Small Blue House - Roblox (warning it’s unanchored)
happy home in robloxia
I have not forgotten about that, nor is it implemented at the moment. Still have much to tweak before I go about saving paths. However do you have any advice about saving weighted paths?
This surprisingly has the same colors as Blu…
