Made a plugin to help place, connect and remove nodes. I didn’t like automatically connecting them as they created some pretty weird paths, where as manually connecting removes that…
Oh and if you’re wondering why the node connection representation is 2 beams point towards each other, that is letting me know that you can traverse both ways between those two nodes, where as a 1-way node connection will have both beams going in the direction you can traverse.
Very sims 1 esque!

It was a while since I actually touched the FiB builds (ShadowMap is my favorite) - and it seems that although that there are some challenges, it looks HOT! Got the new UI working aswell with fancy mechanics and seductive curves.
I don’t like the steering

Numerical integration via power series of Sin(t^2) and Cos(t^2) can lead to unusual shapes like this:
which is a segment of euler spiral (clothoid, cornu) which are used extensively in road and railroad construction.
Now all that’s left is writing the plugin for it.
Fun facts: the length of the curve is the same as the parameter! The curvature of the curve at a point along its length is linearly proportional to its length at that point!

Metaballs, while not as advanced as Zspheres, have some cool functions. when two or more are placed in close proximity of each other they merge. When you use half a million of them in a particle system with turbulence flow you can make cool splashy shapes!
I wonder if they used similar techniques to make those fluid simulations for Portal’s blue and orange slime stuff.
