What are you working on currently? (2019)

I really love the smoothness of the UFO itself and the way it wobbles around in the air, great work with that.

I’m glad you like it! I have blender’s graph editor to thank for that, haha.

Very nice! Maybe you should make an Area 51 Base and add some aliens in there, Haha.

Considering making my own PC case with laser cutting acrylic instead of my own. Actually got an offer to buy one when I actually do it.
Still need to remake the 20 minute concept in Autodesk Fusion 360.

Implemented a double-rod pendulum system!

Hm… That might be a cool idea actually.

The idea is very barebones right now, but I’m starting work on a socail game that will use a lot of the new features that are being added to studio.

I think my work on the CoreScripts are done or nearly done. I’ve got the backpack, health bar, chat, and leaderboard all retro-ized.

All of them are period CoreScripts that have been imported except the chat, which is a themed version of the current chat.

The one that required the most work was the backpack, which has its code spread over 5 scripts.
The one that was the most challenging to find was the health bar
The one that was the easiest to get working was the leaderboard

To continue with the retro theme, I’ve added a background to the hamburger bar based on the Menu button. It’s not complete, as I don’t have a background for the age indicator, but I’m pretty sure it’s impossible by design.

I’ve also got a number of classic gear. The Red Stratobloxxer and the Paper Plane required extensive refactors to get working, but they work great now and I’m happy with them.

I’m a huge fan of the armour & weapon models in this game. The design quality is on another level.

As part of the effort to move players from humanoids to entities in Blox, I’ve been spending time writing my own camera and controller implementations to get everything in the game running under a unified system. Here I’ve used those new systems to reimplement my own freecam!

Once I implement replicated player entities, the camera will lock onto it’s position and rotation, and the controllers will effect that entity’s behaviour directly. I actually show the work-in-progress player entity in the video too :sparkles:
