Been learning to animate in Blender for a potential FPS
damn that’s pretty nice but I think the mag is clipping at the end of the animation
Just having fun with different splines, in this case Hermite and Catmull-Rom splines. I intend to make a module with a collection of different splines to be used for trajectories / curve fitting / camera animations / npc movement.
Here’s a video of a set of control points being made, then the interpolation. It’s not really so clear what the difference is on this scale but there’s a red and white trail, white being Hermite and red being Catmull-Rom, Catmull-Rom is more performance friendly:

Also portal pro-tip, if you haven’t already, offset the camera for the viewport by the distance the player is from the portal to keep the perspective straight from all angles
