Very innovative idea. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of this being used before.
Roblox needs to implement performant shadow diffraction, I’d love to have this in my games but something tells me a lot of 64 surface lights will utterly destroy performance.
Extremely cool though, it looks great.
Yeah, it can’t be used in normal games, and even more unfortunate, it can’t be used for showcases that like pushing graphics to the limit either. The shadows update super slow because of how Roblox optimizes lights, causing the weird blurry effect that can be seen in-game.
Shadow diffraction is very performance heavy and even if it was implemented properly, it would require the use of some very complicated tricks and coding if Roblox were to add shadow diffraction without using Ray Traced shadows. Lightmaps could be used to make realistic shadows, but they are static and cannot apply diffraction to any objects that can be moved.
Since I almost ran out of ideas, I decided to make this air puppy (Maximum) for fun:
Close-ups
This badge appearance looks like a 5-speed manual transmission form.
Portrait view:
And…an example pose.
Note: his tail is the only connection of the character.
My group is working on an fps game called GTC.
Working on a ‘build your own island’ game!
Been finishing up on the mob npc system. I really try to have interactive and fun combat, I think it looks pretty nice though!
I made a lightsaber recently because I got bored.
It’s not going to be part of a game or anything, but I’m a bit proud of it.
working on a thing w/ a friend
got the sticking to be fairly smooth with some client side optimizations
Today’s progress.
So I made the last 2 houses for now.
and after that
I placed all houses together temporarily on a grass block(I’ll make the environment soon)
And fidgeted with the lighting.
BTW all the houses sum up to 4.7k parts.
Wanted to brush up my modelling skills by starting with my first gun model of an AK47 Type 2.
(work in progress)
Just got the stock left to do and it will be finished.
