Yeah, it can’t be used in normal games, and even more unfortunate, it can’t be used for showcases that like pushing graphics to the limit either. The shadows update super slow because of how Roblox optimizes lights, causing the weird blurry effect that can be seen in-game.
Shadow diffraction is very performance heavy and even if it was implemented properly, it would require the use of some very complicated tricks and coding if Roblox were to add shadow diffraction without using Ray Traced shadows. Lightmaps could be used to make realistic shadows, but they are static and cannot apply diffraction to any objects that can be moved.
