Hi All, thanks for the feedback. We definitely like to keep revisions simple and we don’t want to overly complicate the UI to scare away new users. There are definitely a lot of suggestions in this thread that seem to be within the realm of possibility.
I’ll talk to the team and get some ideas sorted out.
Yeah – I never ended up getting into 3D modeling because 3DS Max’s UI was so overly-complicated (especially when all people use are hotkeys anyway e.e), but ROBLOX’s interface was really easy for me to get into when I started. Although, I’d like to point out that when I tried to teach people how to use Studio that have never used it before, they said the interface was really nasty, and when I switched them over to SystemMenu, they said it was much easier and more appealing to use.

Thanks so much for taking our feedback on this, I think we’re all excited to see what’s in store for Studio!
-Pivoting around faces / edges / points
-Resizing, moving, and rotating according to a set increment. Sorry, but 0.2 is not enough.
-Tracking the last increment of movement. (if you move something 1.2 studs, show us somewhere so we can keep track of this.)
-Scale resize. Neither studio or cmdutl have this, and I feel like it’d be REALLY helpful.
I find this really surprising, but can completely understand, as I still, after using Studio quite a bit for months, find myself not knowing where stuff is. The funny thing is that programs like Microsoft Word used to be SystemMenu-esque, and now that I’ve used Office 2010 for ages, Office 2003 looks awful to use because of all the buttons.
Ribbons are a good idea, but as I’ve said before, Roblox doesn’t have enough buttons to deserve a ribbon.
Also, recently, I’ve been using CMDUtl for the Midpoint button just so I can move a part the exact position it should be after copying and pasting.
Remember the good old days, when you copied something, selected a different part, and the pasted it, it would paste it on top of your selection, rather than on top of where it was when you copied it?
