I think those are called stylized trees.
The second tree looks better, however it depends on what environment you place it in.

Second, obv, the fact that the first tree model looks more like planes with tree leaves textures on them, being duplicated, stretched and pasted onto the tree branch model…
I would stick to the second tree(s), as the first tree looks unrealistic, especially with the texture you have on it. Other than that, great work!

Well I haven’t tried making any yet. But if you search it on youtube or devforum you’ll get some tutorials.
For example this tutorial is a basic one.
