Why don't the grass textures for parts and terrain match?

I’m trying to make some Parts look like they’re part of the terrain, but it looks like that’s impossible:

We need some part colors/textures that would make them look like terrain, or vice-versa.

Color painting for terrain (was in the works but put on hold because people didn’t like it as much as some other updates) would help in that regard. It would allow you to paint terrain the same color as that part. Not sure what the best way to match up the textures would be though – maybe ROBLOX could do some sort of blending if part+terrain of the same material intersect, but I’m not sure how feasible that is.

Also, should be in client features.

This might be considered a little hacky but a little while ago I made use of the fact that two identically sized parts in the same position don’t have z-fighting problems if one part is partially transparent and I made a combo that’s at least extremely close to the terrain grass texture.

Also, why don’t wood and wood planks have similar textures. Regular wood is so much lighter than wooden planks that you can’t use them together without there being a noticeable color difference, and in some cases you want to use the darker color because it looks better (wood planks) but can’t because the fact there are gaps in the texture means some parts, such as large supports, look awkward.
