I think that the falling bricks should be tweened to fall, maybe exponentially, and fall through the other blocks. Also, the falling bricks have surface textures, which should probably get removed.
Now a very small detail is the leaderboard scroll far extends the bottom frame.
What did you mean when you said falling bricks should fall through other blocks? Do you mean they should not be using physics at all and be tweened straight down?
Also yeah the blocks do have the default Roblox texture. I think I can fix it though.
Oh yeah⌠That has been in the game since the beginning. Iâll be sure to fix that soon.
Yeah, I was talking about the physics, I also forgot to mention that a trail could look cool for the falling parts, thatâs why I was talking about an exponential fall.
Sad to see that you are using topbarplus, and the interface needs a bit of improvement keeping smooth (âseamlessâ) UX in mind. Everything in general needs a bit of patching up, but the framework seems awesome, so keep at it (if you get any revenue to motivate you, at least :D)
I donât think it will ever âsucceedâ, but itâs definitely a fun project you should continue working on if motivated - remember DONâT SET YOUR GOALS sky high, robux and playerbase is nice and motivating, but donât go about thinking youâll be able to earn enough to even DevEx (50k).
That aside, Enjoy the process, and take breaks! This is something i still struggle with too.
I think I have unconciously started to believe that this project might achieve something. Even if it doesnât make a lot of profit, I would still have learned a lot about planning and finishing projects.
I would say that is more important than a few fake coins .
Sweet game, maybe add more features like game modes or maybe an online competitive aspect. And then advertise a bunch and i bet youâd get concurrent players, as I can see this game being addicting.
You could add currency that player earnâs each time they stack the Blocks, you could also add leaderboard and shop to your game where players would be able to buy different block textures, colors, meshes (shapes) etc.
Of course you could also add robux shop where players would be able to buy currency or other stuff for robux.
The rest of the game looks amazing! Maybe fix some bugs and add some better physics, i would like to see this game on the front page!
Itâs a bit too late to replace it with anything now. Sorry if I came across too harsh, and thank you for responding
Most public modules like TopBarPlus are great for commissions, reading, or playing around in general. But, their formatting is terrible. Most of ForeverHDâs workâs formatting standards are above that of most public modules, though even his formatting/syntaxing/styling is not great.
Formatting is key, and Iâd argue is more important than pure knowledge. If youâre making your own game (not project), I strongly believe that you should not use any public modules. Promises, Knit, Selene etc. are all strongly unsuitable, ill-advised, and not practical for your own game. These modules arenât always terrible, though they definitely should be avoided in your own game.
Since youâve already worked hard enough to use these modules, the best thing to do is to continue working with them, enjoying, and learning.
Right now, my suggestion is that you should finish off this great project of yours, and start learning a completely different area of the Roblox engine. I really admire your efforts and work, but I believe itâs best you donât dwell on this game for too long. Iâm really sorry if I sound a bit harsh.
The game already has a leaderboard and a currency. Since the game is in the development stage, meaning I have not perfected every aspect, you might have missed those.
