(And of course, its not completely perfect, there are still some minor hiccups like messed up collisions on the terrain and so on, but its still a cool thing to look at for nostalgia)
I downloaded the oldest version that supported the export selection feature and imported it into blender where i retextured everything because the Late 2014 terrain textures are way different than the older ones. I then split it up into 15 parts and exported as an FBX (so i could get up to 21000 triangles instead of the regular 10000) and used avatar importer.
Then I went to the real happy home place and downloaded it, and copy and pasted the buildings into their place.
To get the lighting, I just opened the same happy home place in 2014 studio and replicated that same lighting.
It’s a very lengthy process (It took me 2 days for this whole map) and you need to get it perfectly, and even I overwhelmed with a lot of nostalgia when I was taking the 4th picture. Hope this isn’t too vague of an explanation as I am not one to do tutorials on certain things.
