zsqlitenewindexcontrol Channel Causing Roblox to Crash/Close Without Errors

After a Roblox update the previous week, I have been experiencing non-stop crashes when attempting to play games. I have discovered this to be is an issue no matter what is being played, whether that be a graphic intensive game or a game that can easily be played on my smartphone.

The following are steps I have taken to try to fix this:

  • DDU and Reinstalled NVIDIA Graphics Drivers
  • Enabled “Disable fullscreen optimizations” for RobloxPlayerBeta.exe
  • Enabled “Run this program as an administrator” for RobloxPlayerBeta.exe
  • Deleted AppData\Local\Roblox folder and reinstalled Roblox

I was initially facing problems with Roblox crashing/closing itself without presenting any errors. Just recently, I have ran into MEMORY_MANAGEMENT 0x1A BSODs on my PC while playing Roblox. This usually occurred when I was in a game for 30-90 minutes. I came across a fix to stop crashing, which was to open Roblox through roblox-player:1+launchmode:app+channel:production in the Windows Run dialog box (Windows + R). Using this method to launch Roblox has been successful in terms of having a smooth experience without any crashes.

When I visit https://clientsettings.roblox.com/v2/user-channel?binaryType=WindowsPlayer, I am able to see that I am not on the LIVE/production channel. Instead, I am on the zsqlitenewindexcontrol channel.
{"channelName":"zsqlitenewindexcontrol","channelAssignmentType":1,"isFlagOnly":true}

I believe the cause of the crashes is the experimental channel that I am on. For some reason, I am not on the LIVE/production channel like how I am on my other accounts. I hope that a Roblox staff member is able to change this.

Hey There!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
A ticket was filed, but we need more information about it.

Could you please provide a Crash Dump File? So we can investigate it right away!

If you need assistance or info on how to get this file, please refer to the How to Get Dump Files - Bug Reports - Developer Forum | Roblox

Thanks for your patience and understanding!
Have A Nice Day!

It seems that my channel is now set to production ({"channelName":"LIVE"}). I have not encountered any crashes since, but I will be sure to inform you if any do occur. Thank you for your quick response!
