Add a Open Cloud Support Category

As a Roblox Open Cloud developer, it is too hard to ask questions, or answer other people’s questions about Open Cloud. I believe a new sub category should be created in #help-and-feedback for Open Cloud support.

This feature could also be expanded upon and tags for all the libraries could be added, however that would be difficult to maintain.

I have searched for duplicates, and I’m aware of Add Category for Open Cloud/API Bugs and Open Cloud Feature Suggestions, but those are suggesting categories for feedback, but my suggestion is for general support.

why not use #help-and-feedback:platform-usage-support for open cloud support??? (private message me if you got flagged)

Platform usage is unrelated to open cloud APIs. It would also be beneficial to have it separate because Open Cloud enthusiasts (like me), can easily see and answer questions.

ok but hooksmith recommended #bug-reports:website-bugs and #feature-requests:website-features for open cloud, and I recommend #help-and-feedback:platform-usage-support for that, if you want to see open cloud questions and answers easily, then why not rely on tags, like #open-cloud

Yes, this may be true for regulars, but for members, this is not a good solution in the long run. I have an urgent issue with OpenCloud that I need to address to find out more information about it, but I have to go through bug reports and as we all know, they are still redoing bug reports to make it faster and quicker.

Now, doing a OpenCloud Support Category, will eliminate this issue that I am having and plus, more people can help and assist with the issues, and maybe come to a solution without a roblox staff member getting involved.

thats true, but the reason why hooksmith recommend that is because the head of open cloud already reads the website bug reports section. it would be the community reading it.

i forgot they was an open cloud tag, however i think there’s people that dont use them, and have a specific category would still be more intuitive.

This is solved, #help-and-feedback:cloud-apps
