Ads Manager is broken

We are completely unable to sponsor our new experience.

I was able to run 4 sponsors and none of them garnered any impressions:

After the fourth sponsor ended (did it ever start?) I’ve been unable to create any other sponsors:

This does not seem to be isolated.

My friend, who shares ownership of this experience through a group, is still able to create sponsors, but none of his sponsor campaigns have gained any impressions either. We are both attempting to pay by credit card.

We have a lot of confidence in this experience. We put a lot of effort into it and were excited to release and start updating the game with new content. That has been put on hold for now over a week because the Ads Manager seems to be completely broken.

Try to report this in Roblox support and pray. However you can try restarting your PC, reinstalling Roblox and your browser and if that don’t work > support!

I have tried this across devices and browsers.

I have a ticket open with support and their instructions have been the same as yours. It’s been a few days of back-and-forth at a glacial pace. I’m not optimistic and it’s becoming quite frustrating.

Even beyond my inability to create a sponsor, the co-owner of this experience is seeing no impressions on his sponsors either. This does not look like a hardware/software problem on my end.

Interesting, my problem that is the exact same as yours also happened after the 4th ad…

What an odd bug. This is very frustrating for us and I’m sure you feel the same.

Keep me updated!

We are still completely hamstrung by this issue and becoming quite disheartened.

This issue appears to be widespread. I have spoken to one or two other fledgling developers who have also been locked out of getting eyes on their game because of this issue with Ads Manager, but they are unable to post on the devforums yet. That said, there are already several instances of this issue being reported on the devforums:

It would not surprise me if I have only highlighted a small percentage of the developers being affected by this, and I imagine it is disproportionally hurting developers releasing their first or second project. How is roblox going to attract, support and retain new talent when they are being actively banned from using the systems which enable their experiences to find an audience?

same here, I’ve been trying to create different types of campaigns (portal / search) for the last 4 days and nothing… zero impressions… when unpausing old campaigns - everything is fine

Is this fixed? I feel like I’m having the same issue

I can confirm I am experiencing the same issue. The ads simply won’t run on my new game. This is very frustrating.

Having the same problem here as well. Created one yesterday and it doesn’t appear to be running. I am not seeing any errors that tell me I did anything wrong.

were you able to find a solution to this?

Not for me, the ads still have 0 impressions, days later. I sent a help ticket but haven’t received a response.

Happened to me. Can’t use ad credits even though I have an active balance says “something went wrong. try again later” I am convinced they hate feedback and don’t test there features.

Having the same issue here. Just bought a ton of ad credits too. Shame :sob:

I’m also having this issue! Anyone find a solution yet? It’s been about a month for me.

Me and @PondazYeah are experiencing this issue to. Please fix Roblox!

I’ve been meaning to update on what happened to us for a while since this thread gets bumped now and again.

After around a month of waiting, support tickets and spamming devforum about this issue, my account (and my co-creator’s account) were suddenly able to sponsor the experience I originally posted about.

As far as I can tell, this wasn’t because our cries for help were heard - to me this seems like intended behaviour by the ads manager for new accounts or experiences. Note that this is speculation; I cannot confirm this claim, nor can I say whether it is accounts or experiences which have a ‘cooldown’ before they are able to sponsor. I still recommend taking these actions (devforum, support ticket) because while I never received any real answer from Roblox, I also can’t rule out that these complaints didn’t result in our being able to sponsor.

My next project is still in the works. If I remember, I’ll post an update here if its release allows me to determine whether users are delayed from running sponsors because of the experience being too new, or if the cause is that their ad manager account is too new.

For what it’s worth this seems like sensible moderation on Roblox’s end. It’s just not communicated and it made our release horribly complicated and drawn out.

As frustrating as it is, your games or accounts should eventually be whitelisted. You have my best wishes once they are.
