Animation Editor doesn't allow to move parts of a default R6 rig using handles

Problem description

I can’t move limbs from a default R6 rig in the Animation Editor using the arrow handles anymore. When I select a limb, the rotation handles appear. When I try to switch to move handles, the animation editor goes black showing the message “Click here to continue using the Animator Editor”. If I click the plugin to keep animating, I still have the rotation handles. Here’s a GIF of the problem: https://gyazo.com/5b0a942fc81aba96a08f825388f2ec8d

How often it happens

All the time. I’ve a repro place attached below. The repro is a baseplate with a R6 dummy loaded using Build Rig.

AnimationBug.rbxl (41.4 KB)

What I tried already

  1. Uninstalling and Reinstalling Studio
  2. Deleting the Roblox folder from User/AppData/Local
  3. Disable all plugins

None of the above solved the problem.

What has worked as a temporary solution

I installed Roblox Studio in another notebook and entered my account. The animation editor worked and I was able to move the limbs around to create a new pose. Thus, the problem should be some conflict Studio has with local configuration in my original PC. I didn’t change any configuration in my PC over the last week, so I believe the latest update to Studio may caused this problem to me and other users.

Other users have this problem

Today I discovered that other users also reported the same problem around the same time period I did: Animation editor closing when sellecting a tool . So this is not a particular problem I have because of my PC configurations, but an issue that is affecting other users as well.

Version and OS

My Roblox Studio version is: Version 0.525.0.5250378 (64bit)
Both my pc and notebook are Windows 10

Thank you for reporting this issue! This is due to an issue introduced with Material Service this week, if you disable the beta for now, that should fix your issue. A fix should be in next week.
