Yes. But now it’s A LOT more accessible. Which, I reckon, will lead to a lot more badge creation.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this update. We just have to be prepared for the potential flood of badges.

Woah, I can’t belive it’s here. It’s an extremely good way for players to admit achivments, challanges in-game, and I think I waited for this, I’ll try out this feature as soon as I release my game! Thanks Roblox

Hey, is it possible that you could refund the robux spent on badges? I feel bad for those who have made badge walks like Reginald, a million robux gone to waste, and to think now he didn’t have to spend anything… but lovely update!
I was met with an idea - how about the developers that have spent robux on badges get sent a message where they can get a refund for all the robux they’ve spent on their badges? It doesn’t have to be an absolute 100% refund, but I think it’d be a great idea

Well in theory, he’d be waiting years to get the same amount of badges for free, so no, he would have still had to spend money to an extent.

This is great! It opens so many windows for different game achievements.
However it would be use full if you could change the rarities of certain badges as a developer, and also have a section where It shows your most favorite badges, so they don’t get overrun with “Welcome” Badges.
Something like this:

Does this foreshadow the free creation of audio, too :D? At least for short clips, so we wouldn’t have to rely on the library for sound effects.

Yes, I had that in mind while writing my post… regardless, I still think developers need to be refunded, maybe it’s just me feeling bad for those spending dozens of thousands on badge walks but

Why would Roblox give out refunds? Where would the extra Robux even come from? Would the Robux be devexable? Additionally, you got what you paid for when you always had to pay for badges, so there should not be a refund. It’s like saying Roblox should refund premium subscriptions when they introduced the ability to devex and group creation without premium. No, that is not how it works.
