It wouldn’t be that much on moderation, we already have mostly free talking and free uploads, that’s where a flag button would come in
Not that I would, but I could upload a photo of something really bad, and then people would flag it. That’s how this would work, we dont need Roblox limitations.
Yeah I once made a Forum Features post on it and it turned out that the feature was suggested on Discourse Meta, and was declined by one of the co-founders because it would be too complicated to implement and because there are easy workarounds to the issue.

I don’t know about you, but “it would be cool” alone isn’t very convincing to enable a feature that would require extra moderation, as the ability to flag profile is not present. The benefits seem to be outweighed by the efforts necessary to make it safe. The cool thing about inappropriate images in posts is that only a few people will have to face the burden of seeing them. Once enough people flag the inappropriate post, it will be hidden, which means you implicitly consent to be exposed to potentially inappropriate content by viewing the hidden content. It won’t work for profiles.
Wanna know whats much more cooler? The thing where you can only use images uploaded from roblox. And theres something even better, you can click the banner which links you to the roblox image link, And you can report it if it was bypassed.
That takes time, and additionally, the Roblox library isn’t as visible as devfoum profiles. Do you have any other use cases apart from “it would be cool” to justify adding this feature, as only allowing importing an image from Roblox would require a separate system to be developed, but for what benefit.
What prevents you from using roblox uploading image system?

I am not saying that you are not allowed to have an opinion, but at this point I’ve seen many people say the same thing as you.
No big company is perfect, they do what they can where they can, there is a reason behind any downside of Roblox.
This is such a small feature which can be done really quick, so why don’t let them do it? There is lots of employees at Roblox, they can work on multiple things at once, it’s not like their whole Corporation is gonna come together to toggle one switch.
You guys are acting like this feature will destroy roblox forever and they shouldnt do it. Its JUST a textbox with an required id to type in of an image and you set the banner, boom. Its not THAT hard to make.
It would be easier if they had just enabled the default DIscourse one with file uploading We dont want it to be from the Roblox library…

I dont mean to be rude, but I dont get whats with you regulars and seeing everything everyone has and then saying “this is pointless”. It’s not up to you weather it’s added or not, it’s up to the admins.
I think that people who have the Regular trust level are more familiar with how the forum works so they have a better understanding of what is needed and what isn’t. Maybe the problem isn’t that some people are overly skeptical of everything, but rather it’s that not every feature is really necessary.
Incapaz also asks for another reason for why this would be a good feature, which no one has given yet. If there are some purely objective reasons that this feature should be added besides “it would be easy to add,” maybe it would be easier for someone more seasoned to see worth in it.
So why do we discuss anything on feature requests? If this request is genuinely good, it should be able to hold up to skeptics.
I aint even close to being a Regular and I still think that this feature is unnecessary.
Well, I believe that no feature is necessary and Roblox should just shutdown.
