Whenever I export a R6 rig from ROBLOX to blender using this plugin and addon, every bodypart appears to be blocky except the head, and nothing works. I am using pose mode and this also happens when I export an unedited rig. Is there a fix?
I know someone who did not update the plugin and the addon, the previous version of the plugin and addon works fine. Rigs can be imported properly with meshes. Animatable bones.
If I am not wrong everything will be resolved if you revert the plugin? But I am not sure which version did he have.
Edit: Nevermind. I tried reimporting and it is no longer working, I literally imported the same rig again with the same addon and it even prompted me errors in Blender. Let’s hope Den will deploy a fix soon.
I have a small problem with my rig. Whenever I import Mixamo animations into my rig, the head bone seems like it doesn’t rotate with the animation.
EDIT: In the video, I added a texture to the head to better demonstrate that the head doesn’t rotate.
I also included some Blender files for reference.

Best regards!
how do you revert plugins? The New update has been breaking my Plugin ever since. Hence why I’d like to know how you can revert the plugin?
I know someone who have the unupdated version of the plugin, he gave me the plugin and I don’t think I am allowed to give it away here.
Anyways, read my edit above, seems that it is no longer working
it is rotating, but you cant see it becuase it has no texture
so apparently someone is holding the unupdated plugin hostage, while thousands of animators cannot animate because of the broken plugin? hopefully it gets fixed, really, i can’t do commissions or work on my own projects now.
Worked great! Thanks a bundle!
You are still able to animate, you are just unable to import with mesh (like character arms, character accessories)
Unless your commission consists of rendering in Blender as well.
The plugin and addon should just work as long as you use the newest version of both. Older versions are not compatible with newer plugin/addon versions in this case.
In order to work around a Roblox change that caused unpredictable naming when humanoids are involved, humanoids are removed before exporting now. Thus, humanoid clothing or the R6 mesh shapes that the humanoid applies won’t export anymore, but this won’t affect the animation process, just how things are visualized in Blender.
If you really want these humanoid features to be visible in Blender anyway, you can consider exporting your rig as .obj a second time without using the plugin (to a separate file). You can import this .obj in Blender directly (not using the addon’s import option). You can then manually reparent each imported mesh to the proper bone in the generated armature in Blender.
Is the Updated Add-On the same original link?
The links in the first post in this thread contain the most up-to-date plugin and addon. The addon link changes every time the addon changes.
Hey, I updated the video in my reply to better demonstrate that the head doesn’t rotate.
If you weren’t replying to me, then ignore this reply.
This is gonna help a lot as I wanna do some rendering in Blender too.
Uh… I encountered an issue…
@Cryptic_Soldat @takwuz The error you get seems to indicate you’re using an outdated addon version. Update the addon. Old addon versions are not compatible.
NOTE: This workaround is only for people who really needs to animate in Blender with the humanoid features such as character meshes, (2.0 limbs), accessories etc.
The newest version of the plugin and addon works perfectly fine and I highly recommend using it unless you need to animate with specific meshes!
For instances, only use this method if you want to animate with this
instead of this:
Despite the old addon versions are not being compatible, I found that this workaround works perfectly fine for me.
To quickly elaborate the working steps:
1: Install the old version of the plugin
2: Export your rig with the plugin.
3: Click “Build Rig” in Blender, then delete the rig.
4: You will find everything in your rig having a wrong name, they have no spaces, all except the first letter are small letters and a “1” behind them. (Such as “Right Arm” being named into “Rightarm1”)
Or the bones are not named correctly to the corresponding part (Such as rotating Left Arm will rotate Right Leg).
Now you have to rename EVERYTHING back to it’s EXACT original name, not a single different letter or string.
Example:
- Leftarm1 > Left Arm
- Head1 > Head
- Humanoidrootpart1 > HumaonidRootPart
5: Rebuild Rig again then it should work properly!
So far I have no exporting issues. I heard Den saying the current plugin version is to maintain “consistent export behavior”, however I have tried exporting an animation and it works completely fine in Roblox. It should be related to some really backend issues. I guess this is a temporary fix is the only solution for now.
