Ok so the AI isnt roblox’s wich is good since it isn’t gonna be some crap AI but still my only concern is that eventually this AI will have a false positive because they arent perfect, Telling me to just not verify isnt a valid point because I do wanna get voice chat but not risk getting punished by roblox if a false positiive happens. All I’m saying is roblox should not go to severe on the punishments they give out to users for faking ID’s because there might be false positives.
Would love to look through this post and see some feedback regarding the actual voice chat. Still waiting for ID verification to roll out so that I can verify my ID and utilize it. Though I’m not actually sure if it works in studio since I read that you would need to be in the beta to hear. For me it just show’s I’m not eligible in Studio.
Thanks for concerning about the actual voice chat. Seems to me you think it’s professional for a third party partner to offer Identity Verification and throw false positives at Roblox without having some kind of check in place to prevent this. That would be a very bad service. Do you not think maybe after these checks the third party service is contacting Roblox letting them know hey we noticed some “blatant” fraud?
For sure, I can’t say there won’t be these issues. Like every other human being in the world that uses their services this is just some trust I’ll have to place in them like any other service I use.

You do have a point, Maybe if the AI says the ID is fake it will be reviewed by a human and then confirmed to be negative by him. All I was saying is I was concerned because not everything is perfect, and considering how roblox works with these things well it of course made me worried.

Because My bank has an established history of no data breaches and that’s why I picked them. As for a government website, If someone hacked a government website they would have the FBI on them faster than you can say “mama mia”.
It’s not. I’m pre-internet and my parents have 0 ideas how to use the internet other than google without my help. They can’t even use amazon correctly without getting me to remote in to help them.
Google pixel 4 modified OS, No info gets sent to google other than what I allow.
My information is secure, The United States has failed its citizens if the population is openly okay with releasing personal info through the internet. I’m making a point about this because the verification system is stupid to those over 18. Discord does not require documents nor does guilded, why should Roblox? This is an attempt to deprive us of privacy and get us to give over more information.
You’re free to mention laws all you want, but at the end of the day, unless you’re a lawyer then you shouldn’t be giving legal opinions to anyone. It’s openly obvious you don’t need documents for voice chat proven by discord and guilded (said above) when Roblox literally owns guilded and they still don’t require documents.

Sorry if you thought I was a lawyer, or offered any type of legal advice. I clearly did not mention any laws. Simply that Roblox is under regulation. I’m glad that you’re able to keep your information private while also being able to misunderstand a single post.

Yeah… um, didn’t someone in the thread or the announcement say that if an ID is denied, a human would check it out, I really don’t think we have to worry about the verification instead, though, okay, fine, data breaches can happen, but they’re pretty rare, aren’t they?

I have no doubt in my mind they are using separate servers for spatial voice games and are trying to limit the huge influx of it all. Only what I would imagine though.

They arent that rare tbh, You can use websites like “Have I been pwned” to put your email and see if any data related to it has been breached, but roblox said they werent gonna collect the ID’s so I think we are safe on this one.

same, Theres a thing ive heard that says do not try something new when it just came out since theres always something bad with it, For example game consoles: When these first release they are always so faulty and filled with errors, What if something similar happens to VC, So yeah imma wait too

What regulation? COPPA does not apply to people over 13 and discord nor guilded have ever asked for an ID. If you can give me a good reason for ID’s then I might change my POV, otherwise, you’re just agreeing with a corporation that gives no care for your information other where required by law and will sell it if given the chance to do so.
