So I’m in Ontario, Canada. I am not old enough for a Drivers license, cant get a photo card, and don’t have a passport. Is there a way I can use a different type of government ID such as a Ontario health card to verify that I’m 13+?
It’s been almost two months, no ban.
I got VC access back, so I guess mine was was temporary.
But then how was it available/supported in our region before? That’s really weird.
Well, it I’ve left the poll open for 3 weeks so I now have enough evidence to say that the majority of the Roblox Community thinks voice chat is a good idea.
Any updates or anything on what I mentioned/asked?
What if we use an ID when we we’re younger? Will It still work? And, is it safe to do it?
Hi I’ve got a pretty serious issue
The GUI doesn’t seem to work at a larger distance, but I have an isometric game where the camera has to be far from the player.
But the GUI at a distance hides itself and I can’t seem to get the chat working properly?
I’ve tried using things like SetListener but I can’t seem to get any progress. If you unmute yourself manually in Escape settings it works, but that’s an odd place to put that UI and a way to do it as a developer would be great. Ideally I’d like to be able to place my own button somewhere in 2D instead of 3D.
A lazier (and easier) solution would to let me set the cutoff distance of the GUI on top of my head. If I could set it to like 2000 studs instead of 100(?) this problem would also be solved.
Can you make the head invisible, move it closer to the camera. Then create a fake head in the character? Alternatively, you could try renaming the head, and just making a new part in front of the camera named Head.
Not sure if that would work though. Best fix would be more control over VC IMO.
It’s great but I hate the mic icon being on top of my character all the time, plus I often without realizing accidently unmute myself and I can potentially risk of getting banned just because of that.
Thankfully it’s only for ages 13+. that being said, there is the issue of parents just giving kids under 13 their identity instead, however I’ve only seen one occurrence of that so far.
update: looks like I was just one of the lucky few, as I have seen way more than on occurrence since I posted this.
I like this chat system quite a lot, but I feel like a bindable push-to-talk feature should be added to this at some point in the future.
A bit late, but I am all for this. Sometimes I can’t hear people in Spatial Voice because of the music playing in-game.
When can we expect an increase on how many people can be in a server with voice chat?
Has this been added yet? I get this is in beta but come on guys, this will fail so hard if there isn’t clear properties to set. This needs to be fully and easily dev-accessible and preferably have options WITHIN studio without needing to write code. Simple properties like Range, at the very least.
Uh, hello? Any response? I’d like to know that I’m actually being heard here.
They are working on that except I really don’t know why they decided it was a great idea to release this feature with so little functions to even use it.
They didn’t even give us the bare bones to get a sliver of functionality out of it except “you get voice chat! and you get voice chat” etc. Like I can’t detect when someone is speaking even through detecting UI changes in bubble chat since that’s all core and they didn’t even bother giving us access to that. Like literally the functions for that are all made just not given to us for to use.
Sadly, no. Best bet is to wait until they support more options, or that you’re able to use one of the options. I’m currently waiting until I’m able to obtain an ID Card which is in a couple months, since a Passport costs a $350+ and I ain’t paying $350+ just to verify voice chat.
