Custom character animations failing to play correctly

Happens 100% of the time in our game both online and in studio, started happening around 1PM EST today

Expected Behavior:
Animations should play normally

Actual Behavior:
Animations don’t play correctly

Can confirm.

Prime example being JJBA games:


Humanoids work fine, the rest is broken.

Can confirm aswell. Tools that use Motor6Ds/Animations don’t seem to be working on other clients except your own.

The first Motor6D from the root part appears to animate correctly, but any other Motor6Ds that are “downstream” from that do not animate.

I am also experiencing the same issue with animations not loading properly. I think it has something to do with having different groupings in a model. It will load the animation for a which is under the first group, but will not load anything connected to the parts under it.

So here, the Torso will be animated but it will not load for any of the parts connected to the torso since they are under a different group than the main motor6D.

Using a folder instead of a model does work though.

There was a change that changed animator joint search to stop at the first descendant model. Looks like affected games had inner models expected to be animated by the outer Model’s animator.

Reverting the flag and changing the behavior for the next iteration.

How long will it be until the next iteration? By this do you mean the next patch update, which means around in the next upcoming week or two? Also thank you for clarifying the issue.
