Do those other platforms have any players compared to roblox? No. My game on both platforms would earn more on roblox at the end of the day! We are paying extra for the playerbase that roblox has.

Premium was never the issue in this case. Roblox themselves even specified somewhere in the DevEx terms of service that premium was only required to submit one. I have no idea why your DevEx was rejected, but for most people it’s usually one or more of the following;

  • Poor community standing account
  • Robux was earned illegitimately or through a way they do not allow cashing out; i.e. selling collectibles for Robux.
  • This was your first time and you did not register for the supplier’s portal. They usually email you a link.
  • Your personal or tax information you submitted in the supplier’s portal is incorrect or unfinished.

The point is that people with less Robux and/or don’t have premium can easily convert Robux into real money with less requirements.

How is this an “illegitimately” way? Collectibles are bought with Robux, and then sometimes sold for Robux. If someone was a professional trader/collectible seller, sells a lot or all of his/her limited items, does that mean they can’t cash out at all?

The exchange rate is not terrible, it’s actually quite decent. But I do agree, it’s a little low.

“Robux was earned illegitimately OR through a way they do not allow cashing out”; I did not imply that collectibles were an “illegitimate” way of earning Robux, but I did say that you can’t use them to cash out. On the illegitimate side of things, I was implying off-site transactions. Did you misread something, or was my grammar not clear? (Genuine question, not being mean!) And yes that is correct, you cannot sell your collectibles to then cash out. The Robux has to be earned through other ways, i.e. group payouts, premium payouts or gamepass/developer product sales.

You could always invest that robux in your own game or group. I’ve earned 15k+ more than I invested.

I guess it was the grammar in your post

Roblox premium is useless now,
I’m glad. :+1:
I am a small developer and now I can actually earn money without paying anything and without having to worry about my premium expiring.
Thanks Roblox, very cool
This will help out lots of small developers im sure

 Big thanks for this! It never made sense that you had to spend money to earn money. I remember asking back when clothing began to cost money:

You can email support regarding Devex inquiries - no one here is going to be able to help you.

Is the premium change to bring premium membership to be more of a gameplay-based thing?
I always liked the idea of a subscription service (I know it was planned but I’m not sure when Roblox is adding it) and now that premium is losing its benefits (it has trading, selling limiteds, and Robux per month), I feel more inclined to use premium in my game as a sort of Roblox wide subscription as in, if you buy premium to get benefits in one game then when you play other games you also get the benefits.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this?
I’m really debating scrapping my idea to make custom subscriptions for my game and just use premium instead now that it has less features and allows for more custom incentives.

Edit: something I wanted to add, us developers adding premium exclusive stuff/incentives is in our best interest if you think about it (for non-paid access games), because of the premium payouts.

Hi there bereza!

I personally have the same issue, I am trying to devex but roblox have yet to even aknowledge that I am trying to devex and already withdrew the robux. I really hope they can move up their timeline!.

Maybe you could make a dedicated post about this? since it seems there’s many people with this issue yet no one seems to adress it specifically.

So is Premium just kinda useless now? Cause most people who regularly use premium, such as developers and traders, have other methods of obtaining robux, and don’t rely on that monthly bonus.

Perhaps premium users should be given a DevEx processing priority because there’s definitely gonna be an increase in the processing time with more request.

This would at least give a benefit for having premium especially if you’re DevEx-ing a lot of robux. Just an opinion

Does having Premium Membership now affect what percent Roblox takes for player purchases, like game passes, developer products, or shirts? Or do we get the same profit whether or not we have Premium Membership?

I scanned the replies but didn’t see this mentioned…

The devex stills hard :slightly_frowning_face:

Although this is great for non - premium developers, those with premium feel like premium is useless now and I sort of agree.
