idk if this game is meant for mobile but i find it very confusing on how im supposed to grab the junk to give to the customers. when i try to use my finger to drag it, it doesn’t move at all. just letting you know if you planned on making this mobile friendly

yeah im trying to make it work on mobile but hey, atleast the UI fits

I decided to test out the game on my laptop and I personally believe you don’t give enough time to grab and place the items for each customer. idk what the time is currently but it would be nice if it was increased by 10 seconds

Love the challenge it gives and that each day introduces something new!

Here was my shop

Weird error I found in the client console, as only devs have access to server one.

Also that day when I stopped serving customers they started acting strange and the billdboard gui got dislocated and they’d fall out of the earth sometimes or they’d teleport randomly behind where they’re supposed to be. Customers stopped coming and break time did not trigger.

I rejoined and only kept my cash, which I guess was the intended method. For private servers, I recommend saving everything, like furniture and quests and positions of junk. This will greatly increase my and many others’ playability.

yeah as i said its more like a rogue like, thats why theres quests and rewards, to make each run easier and better than before

the bug i currently know is the bomb blowing the customer up and detaching their stuff

yeah i get this a lot, maybe ill add 5 more seconds to it

Well Zach’s Service Station (or gas station simulator) is rogue like with features like private server saving as well. It just makes it so you can continue your run instead of having to play through it in one go.

oh you mean something like a career mode? idk maybe i can do something like that, it would have to be singleplayer most likely

Not really, I’m just saying that private server saving would mean if I had to leave and I had an amazing shop running, I could rejoin to that shop whenever I needed.

yeah that would be hard to implement for sure, maybe when everything is fully function i can start trying

Interesting game, love the concept honestly.

I think maybe you could angle the camera from a top view sort of camera, have the roof removed, and add black shadows or parts just all around the outside of the map or shop.

At least in my opinion that’d give a very cool vibe to it and similar to the game you’re basing it off of.
I’ve already said this to you but taking flashy kind of UI feeling and effects from a game on CoolMathGames called “Grab Them By The Eyes” would be very interesting and cool in my opinion.
This game really reminds me of Cook Burgers and spin-offs of that game.

One more small thing, you should add private servers.

Hello everyone! I am back from vacation I got 100 bucks for christmas
anyways, i am currently looking for ways to make the game more fun, some suggestion, such as bargaining suggested by @sussy_bacoo was a pretty good idea, to be honest, i just need ideas, my brain juice is running out, shop upgrades, furnitures, quests, gameplay changes, you name it, list it below

Prepare for this to get long >:)
I will edit to add more

  • New junk type: big junk. Stuff like couches and arm chairs. Can only be sold at big counters. This could probably have a special obtainment method, like only having the opportunity to get some every 4 days.
  • New counter type: big counter. (Unlocked via an expansion in the other direction) Multiple NPCs walk in but all are together under one order (like a family). They request a lot of items. They can also request big junk. Each NPC can be bargained with twice meaning you can exceed the 2x limit if there’s enough people.
  • Rare junk: stuff like phones or even diamonds can rarely spawn. They can have special abilities. They could attract customers or just sold.
  • Furniture usage: make it so furniture is more important. Stuff like maybe ordering couches and arm chairs and placing them in front of counters so customers wait longer instead of a static upgrade. This furniture couldn’t be moved if there was a customer in its affected area though. One furniture idea is an item display that could attract customers or bring attention or more pay or ratings depending on what’s put up there. This makes the game more strategy based as you try what methods make most income and ratings.
  • Customer types: adding customer types encourages unique gameplay like a critic where you make it as nice as possible for them so your stars aren’t influenced badly.
  • Events. Maybe every couple breaks or days an event triggers where some sort of person comes in or something happens like a power outage. Maybe require the player to do something to fix a problem. Maybe a furniture store owner comes in and offers a shop of big furniture. Or a scavenger comes and scavenges for random supplies with a high chance of better junk and brings more depending on pay. Or a chef for food ingredients for something?
  • Furniture ideas: cauldron - toss questionable ingredients in and make a potion that could increase speed or boost something. Even temporarily. foxnoobkite statue - “idk maybe he will bless you.” Item displayer - display items for unique reactions.
  • junk ideas: old book, pipe, carpet (in a roll), pallet, ladder, cardboard/box, stack of papers or paper airplane, metal sheet, tape, old VHS tape, plastic bag (ok lots of these are bad)
  • big junk ideas: ping pong table, fridge, broken lamp, mattress

ooo big junk sounds kinda fun, in the original game they used nukes, maybe ill use something similar

it sounds alright on paper, but the current system is alright, it can stack up to 8-15 junk if you do it right, and the current max order is 4, although i might make something like bulk orders, where a customer need a LOT of the same items

I am also planning to make the third shop expansion upstairs, but i am looking at potential ways for it to be useful

Big counters are for crazy orders, crazy bargains, and crazy requests (like furniture junk)
