Is there any possibility that there should be a supercell-like cloud in this feature?

Hey, this is a brilliant idea !

Since it is a beta, I have spotted some issues:

1. Horizon line

The example I am speaking about is simply that there is a weird line that is not really intended I guess…

Screenshot of the bug

To do so, open a blank terrain and place the Clouds instance. In its property window, set the maximum amount of Cover and Density. Here you have your line !

2. Works everywhere

I don’t know if it is a bug but I guess yes… The Cloud instance works everywhere (even in CorePackage)

See example

I can even put it in the Terrain it will work !

I bet this is a known issue and this is not supposed to work like that?

The thing is that I am 90% sure that it works like the other Lighting instances. They must be placed in the latter and some can be placed in the Camera (or can’t they?)

So welp, I hope this post helped you a bit

Cya !

This would be something nice to see, mostly because of what I make on this platform.

Can you try log out and log in then try to add clouds in lighting. unless you didnt check the clouds beta feature.

@PoisonousSouIs

You have to check a property that makes appear items that are not supposed to go in this service.
Note that clouds aren’t supposed to go anywhere so yea, you need to enable the latter property

Click on the down arrow that we can see on your screenshot, it must be in here

I just tried this out on studio and WOW does it look amazing! After this is released, maybe we can see volumetric particle effects like smoke.

Great update Roblox! Great update indeed!

I don’t want to be Mr.Negative, especially because this is phase 1. But I have noticed that Clouds aren’t best suited with TweenServices, but it still looks amazing!

(The rain is just extra, ignore that)

If you notice, the lighting in the game immediately changes, instead of smoothly changing with the clouds. In my opinion, it kinda takes me out of the moment.

It would be nice if they were better suited with TweenServices because you could add extra detail to a weather system like shown in the video. Just a suggestion!

Wow this will come quite handy developing

May i ask what the codes to the skybox is?

That’s your quality level increasing cause you’re on automatic graphics. Has nothing to do with Clouds

how do you enable this in studio I can’t find it

Finally. It looks promising, was worth the two-month wait lol

testing them on the Welcome to the Town of Robloxia map as promised

I’d like to see an option to change the colour/transparency of the clouds. Right now the undersides of them are far too dark.

Also as several people have mentioned, I’d like to change the shape as well, to make them bigger or smaller to represent different types of clouds

Though considering this is only in Phase 1 and those are pretty basic options, I’m sure that they’ll come in the future
