Code without coding

eventcode

Hello everybody!
Let me introduce EventCode!
With EventCode you can code without coding.
Yes, you can code without writing a single line of code!

How is that possible? With EventCode you can add simple “rules” to your game.

The whole system works like this: Something does something with something.
There are some examples what you can do with EventCode!

  • Working door
  • Working elevator
  • Marching NPCs
  • Speaking NPCs
  • Moving platforms
  • And much more I didn’t think about yet

If you select a part the gui will automatically show up somewhere!

Please note that EventCode is in BETA. Except bugs and glitches.
Please report every bug or if you have a question feel free to ask in the replies.
There are only 3 tutorials right now, but I’m working on more tutorials.

Attention!

Codes made with the old version of eventcode are NOT recognised by the new version! Please keep that in mind!

Interesting, is this something like the Scratch engine?

Well, not really. In scratch you have to build your code with blocks. In EventCode you have to like connect parts together. But it is inspired by scratch too.

Oh yeah, I didn’t said that. If you select a part the gui will automatically show up at the bottom.

(and you can see the tutorials button there)

Amazing! Definetely gonna use it! The only problem I see is that you can’t move the main window which is really frustrating when using other plugins. Love it! (Also I added it to my profile)

Thank you! I don’t really get what is the “main window” because there are a lot of windows in the plugin. If you could send a sceenshot what window you mean then I can add dragging to it!

The window that opens after you click the + button.

Oooh, that’s the “Events” panel then. I will make it draggable as well as the other panel.

Update!

Now you can drag and drop every type of popup panel!

Could you provide screenshots or a demo?

Well, I can’t really provide any useful screenshots, but I made a demo game:

Wow. This is truly amazing. I know some people compare it to something like Scratch but I personally compare this to IFTTT (If This Then That).

(also unrelated but if you want different icons to Googles Material Icons please DM me)

This is great because I never knew how to code. One simple question: How do I use it? I mean- Do I toggle it in the plugin tab on the top menu bar?

This is amazing, I was creating a similar plugin but most of its functions were based on the community; I stopped working on it because being honest it’s too difficult to clear all bugs or make a game that can be compared with a game made with coding.

Oop- nvm. Sorry. I was selecting a mesh.

Pretty neat!

Great job on this, I look forward to seeing what else you can do with it. :grinning:

I’m good with Google Material icons thanks, because the whole UI is material design!

Thank you! I have a lot of ideas in my mind I want to add! I want to add player following for humanoids, customizable stats for humanoids (health, damage, etc).
