Now for a little game backstory, and some information on it.
*I did this project solely on my own.
The game was originally a multiplayer free roam, but I’ve since changed it to be a single-player game,
And I honestly despised the idea of something that has been copied and pasted across Roblox’s platform.
I can’t give away TOO much otherwise it could spoil the game and become really boring.
Only the first part of Chapter 1 Is finished, so consider It as a demo, you can play the game here: The Backrooms Remastered - RobloxIt Is subject to change.
Please keep In mind that I do not recommend playing this game if you have Heart Problems or other Medical Conditions.
Anyway, I’ll keep updating this post for future updates.
I just played it, and so far I’ve already noticed improvements. The gui has blur on the edges, although it could be a bit too much. I like how the background follows the cursor. Some GUI buttons are a bit small, like the options.
I do like this hover over effect.
Upon entering the game, it already looks surprising. But I feel like the view bobbing wobbles too much. The lighting is very realistic, although you could increase the view distance for the depth of field. The sprinting FOV and speed seems a bit like too much. I got stuck in a hole after going up a ladder, Instead of having the player manually rejoin, you could kick the player or an ending message.
Anyway, that’s my feedback for now. If you added random playing eerie sounds that would make it even scarier, or adding darker hallways. I don’t know if there’s an exit or what it looks like.
Thanks for the Feedback, so yes there are currently no exits, and i’ll definitely need to fix those tiny holes in the map, and I’ll also lower the camera shake for a more realistic experience.
