“Sword Game” is the current name of my game where you fight other players with swords on multiple maps, get cash to buy crates, and get new skins. Other than UI cleanups, some small features (like an afk button), and more maps and skins, I do not know what else would improve the experience of the game.
The game requires two players to start. The last one alive wins the round. If two players live long enough, they get teleported to a deathmatch with no obstacles. Players can use currency they earn (5 cash for losing, 20 for winning) to buy crates which give them sword skins. I’m also planning on adding trails, particle effects, pets, etc. to the crate system.
If you are looking for feedback on your game, I would highly recommend clicking the pencil button next to the title of this topic and editing it so it is in the #help-and-feedback:cool-creations category. More people will give feedback on your game if you move it there.
You did a good job on the lobby, and I noticed that you didn’t have any pictures for the shop icons. I would add some pictures to make it look nice.
My favourite part of the experience was the many maps (whether obbies or other challenges) that brought up secondary obstacles to account for. This has rarely been done by popular games on the website.
I see good possibilities in the future of the game, but I suggest that whatever is added to the crates do not give a serious gameplay advantage (this could be down to my aversion to progression-based games). While unlocking new items is fun, balance is important.
I have made sure the swords from the crates literally have the same everything. Hitbox, damage, etc. The only differences are the meshes, and some swords have effects on them. Thankyou for your feedback!
I clicked on the game but I was alone and it required more than one player so I couldn’t get in to see. One thing I noticed right away is the name is spelled Sord instead of Sword. I don’t know if you intended that or not ?
When I was first making this game (the first map), I used that specific dummy as a reference for the characters size. Then he resided in the old lobby (literally a cube with a window) for like, a month. When I built the new lobby, I thought it would be unjust to delete him, so I put him on top of the roof.
