Also, will we be able to set the resolution (I mean the amount of detail; idk if that’s the right word) of PointLights? Right now the shadows are very blurry, and I would like to make them sligtly more detailed. I only have 1 PointLight that I need to do this to, and I don’t think having just 1 light be more detailed than others would be too bad for performance.
It’s still not out for players, just for us.
tried to make this work for room 2 but unless metal lighting is improved and we get more control over highlights i just cant make do with mostly pitch black metal things and stark highlights coming from every single light source : P
any future plans to change this stuff ^^?

This whole update is really beautiful. I love how the lighting can make even a simple build so beautiful.

What does it matter? It’s all up to personal preference, if you like ShadowMap, use it. If a player can not run it, they can decrease the graphics quality and Roblox with automatically revert back to voxel.
Lol not really doe, the gun is almost pitch black because of how metal is affected even though the room is way brighter than outside.

Seriously though, you guys did an excellent job, and pbr is just one step closer to the end of the “roblox graphics bad, roblox lego” stereotype, especially since now any game can look nice, and i’d reccomend adding the studio distance function global illumination to the mix, since it would fix a lot of the issues right now with these updates and add extra realism.
