While you do that can you let us devs adjust the transparency? I want it to be .5 like the old topbar. .3 looks too dark in a few of my games because they have lots of soft and pastel colors. PLEASE AND THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING
Hey, I just wanted to suggest that you guys could 100% take some time to add a size setting inside of the menu to control the scale of the topbar.
We are already receiving settings for text scaling in menus and stuff, so why not allowing us to at least modify how convenient we want the topbar to be for ourselves?
Yes, I’m aware of the pain it’d be to manage as a developer, but think of it like this: we’d have small topbars again at the same time we’d be able to keep the bigger ones intended for mobile devices!
Do you have an estimate of when Self View’s redesign is coming? I was kind of hoping it would be out before the new controls released to everyone. SocialService’s SelfView methods still don’t work with the current design.

Yes. u need open roblox studio. create new file. Next click beta features in top left corner list. And then find updated roblox controls and off it.
it doesnt interfere with the roblox client if your not on studio, buddy.
Then why I have old menu in every game? And I cant even turn it on.

Will self view ever be a togglable feature via SetCoreGuiEnabled
? It truly is kinda useless in multiple games that I am working on. Either there is no need for self view or there is no character to be shown.
I don’t understand why disabling it is no longer supported.
The problem is it’s forced in every voice-enabled experience, even if camera communication is disabled.
Ideally, Self View should only be there if camera communication is enabled (independent of voice), I don’t know why this isn’t the case.
So the only way to get rid of it at the moment is to disable both camera and voice communication in your game.
So that was the problem… I guess this will be fixed in the future, probably and oversight.
While I do like the concept of Self View, I believe it should be fully customizable just as originally intended, evident from the deprecated Enum.
I’ve also expressed multiple times that I dislike any forced UI, especially with the addition of the new Experience Control menu (TopBar). I truly hope the support from SetCoreGuiEnabled returns some day.

why did you have to make health bar ui bigger than the screen itself
New Self View is out!
- Starts in the top-left corner of the screen
- Buttons are much clearer, UX is less confusing
- Maximizing now just extends the height of the window
- Green dot is clearer
- Works with character animation again
- Great improvements overall
Unfortunately it doesn’t work with SocialService yet, it just needs FFlagChromeSupportSocialService
to be flipped

I still don’t have the Camera Avatar Animation feature toggle setting on my main account and some of my older alt accounts even though I believe I should be able to.
at RDC 2024, while showing off the new Video Captures feature, i noticed the icons for Experience Chat, Toggle Microphone, and the ones in the Hamburger Menu have been completely redesigned. When will it come? It just looks nice, especially that Self View & Emotes icon, they look happy!

Do you plan to make accesibility options for PC and all platforms in general somewhere in the future of the Experience Controls? For example:
- The option to hide the Roblox Icon and Experience chat icons on PC?
On PC, there are keybinds for both of these buttons. These are unneccecary and block the screen and should be left optional.
- Change the size of the Experience Controls on all platforms?
This is beneficial for
- Accesibility.
- Saving Space.
- Hide the “turn on voice chat” button?
I turned off voice chat for a reason. If you can atleast explain why this is a thing, it would be helpful.
- Customize which buttons show up in the hamburger menu.
This is probably the most useful thing here. The hamburger menu is cluttered with almost every button imaginable, and players should be able to customize it instead of developers alone.
As an example, I may prefer to use the Roblox Menu to Reset, and the hamburger menu to toggle Voice Chat.
The reset button will serve as extra clutter when I want to use the hamburger menu, and the Voice Chat button will take up extra space on my screen in the Experience controls. The same thing goes if I want to use voice chat through the roblox menu.
We should be able to choose what shows up in the Experience controls, and Hamburger menu. Mobile is the platform it was made for and extending the Hamburger Menu still takes up the whole screen on Mobile. Adding customization to which button shows up where will help with this.
- Disable Self-View.
