This is the best update ever, now I can change my group name from some childish name from 5 years ago to something that actually is nice.

But couldn’t they just make their own group and utilize their top developers to make a sci - fi game? If you change the name it might be more (If roblox changes it), but if you just make your own group, its only 100 robux.

I probably would have lost a lot of robux from making groups because I either wanted to change my name because a better name came to mind or a spelling mistake, etc. I am happy that they added this, even if I have to pay the same amount of robux as making a new group. Thank you @Roblox hahaha
But at least for me, think about all of the Robux you already put into groups like uploading clothes (which not related, but they should remove the fee), badges, audios, maybe more. It’s a great update, but even like 50 or 70 Robux is better. That’s just my two cents though even though I believe some would agree with me.

I dont think lowering the charge robux would be bad because then people would do it often and I dont think Roblox wants to encourage that.
Hence the 90 day limit I would assume.
Yeah, the current price of changing a group is overall a bit … dissapointing. I expected this to cost about 80 or maybe even 50 Robux to help promote changing a group name rather than make a new group and create spam and cause an overload on Roblox’s end. At this rate, and at this cost, nobody will really care because, well, what is the point? Sure your games and group shouts are still saved under that specific group, but other than that this feature won’t change much unfortunately unless the price changes.

the issue with making a new group is that this doesn’t magically transfer over all the group funds, members, roles/ranks, allies/enemies, etc. renaming the group allows you to keep all of this without any issues or need to tell everyone to move to/join the new group.

Ranks cost 25 ROBUX each. My group has ~30 ranks, 30 x 25 is 750. For me personally, it was more economically feasible to just pay the 100R$ fee to change the group name instead of making a new group with ranks (which would’ve cost 850).
It fully depends on your group. If it has a few members and no ranks, making a new group would make sense.

Very pleased, now kindly remove the past group names, or give us the ability to disable show past group names.

I’m happy this feature has been released. I’m not a fan of the whole “past group name” though however I am pleased to see that we have managed to roll this out.

Very happy that this is a feature now. When I didn’t like a group name, even if the group had ~400 members, I would still create a new one with a new name, essentially abandoning the 400 members. No longer. 
Why? Its exactly like past usernames feature with player usernames. Are you saying you dont like that and you want an option to not show it or Roblox just removes that feature?
I strongly agree. Me and a friend switch ownership on a certain group sometimes for different reasons. I feel like it should be 30 days instead.
My guess is because once a username exists on Roblox, nobody else can have that username, ever, unless a request to erasure request is made but other than that, I don’t think usernames can be recycled.

But we needed it, and I think it may be worth it depending on how cringy the name of your group is

I agree. make the past group name internal to the group admin page. It almost makes it feel less worth it visually to rename the group, but functionality over visual i guess.
How long after an ownership change do we have to wait to change the name? I’d like to hope not 90 days because I just transferred the group from an ALT to this one to continue it.
You do have to wait 90 days from a group transfer.
