This was a needed change, please Roblox make more of Guilded integrations to Roblox!
It will make Guilded more useful! (As well as actively working on updating and fixing Guilded)

Not really a valid point in my opinion, pedophilia exists on any communication platform so even if discord wasnt allowed on roblox, they would simply try to find another way to get in contact. I generally dont like the idea of overprotective behaviour for child safety. This has ruined many games such as minecraft where they have banned mods that implement firearms like M4s etc. just for the sake of child safety.

Honestly, after looking at the replies from this, i wish people would realize that an discord integration is a bad idea, considering what problems discord has (predators, scams, doxxing). Discord is a risky platform to have a roblox themed community, considering the player base of Roblox is mainly kids and teens⌠Yeah⌠You can see why Discord isnât a great platform for teens.
Guilded on the other hand, is completely different, there have been no known problems like people doxxing, scamming etc.
Plus there are other benefits of using Guilded, like the 500mb uploads, more types of channels, server groups and more.

Minecraft is completely different then Roblox, Minecraft mods are a local thing, not built in to the game, Roblox on the other hand, thats directly on the platform.

This would be useful for the roles integration that was mentioned in the OPâs video. Thatâs just one of the many limitless possibilities that could be done using this.

Well your point is that Robloxâs community has many kids isnt it? Believe me when i tell you that Minecraft and Fortnite also have many kids playing the game.

I have a Discord server with 10K people, so they will never move over. But I do maybe go try it out, as some of the tools for working in teams are much better than Discord and I might use it to announce game updates as well for those that join the server as itâs directly support on Roblox. But I wonât move over the whole Discord community, and will keep Discord as the main active platform.
Anyway, how to opt-in, Iâm excited to test it out!

The difference between discord and guilded is that one is a globally recognized platform with millions of users from countless backgrounds and the other is guilded.

I think itâs meant to be a safer alternative to Discord for the younger audience, since there have been many off-platform situations caused by the lack of safety surrounding them.
Theyâre most likely trying to crack down on these problems by convincing more people to use Guilded instead since Roblox actually owns and controls the platform, so I think this update could be useful.
There have been many situations in the past where Discordâs been proven to not be safe enough, so thatâs probably why Roblox is choosing to prioritize Guilded instead.
Iâm pretty sure Guilded will eventually grow popular as Roblox continues to push it more onto the platform during the next few years, it just hasnât been advertised that much yet.
And even if itâs not popular, it still doesnât mean you shouldnât at least try it first before writing it off completely since the platform would offer a safer community for everyone.

To all the folks asking âwhy not discordâ Roblox acquired guilded awhile back and probably want to finally put it to good use. Iâd imagine theyâll be making more intergration services in the future, which may not be possible with discord. Iâd imagine owning a service makes it alot easier to integrate.
Also guilded is just flatly better. I downloaded it many months ago when discord reduced the unpaid upload limit to 8mb and it has all of the features discord currently has, along with many discord nitro features (animated pfps, cross-server emojis, increased upload limit, etc) for completely free. The only downside is that not many people use Guilded. Which is unfortunate, because its a direct upgrade from discord. Iâd imagine Roblox increasing support for Guilded will boost its popularity and maybe, just maybe, make it a considerable competitor to discord.

yeah thatâs why every roblox game has guilded linked instead of discord and even the main place where opensource roblox stuff is made and discussed is on guilded

I 100% agree with you.
I do also want to add, that it is easier to add a Webhook to Guilded then it is to Discord. You donât need to use some 3rd Party service to send messages to Discord. (Because Discord blocked Roblox servers)

It would be pretty cool if Guilded had the same accessibility options that Discord has. Until then, many players with various disabilities arenât able to use Guilded.

Great way to promote guilded, however if you want more developers to use guilded, perhaps you should reward those who do? Give them a boost in the algorithm?
