Hello, I wanted to ask the community on their thoughts about my new anticheat’s name.
This AntiCheat will be posted in community resources, my last anticheat “Eclipse” was very popular amongst the community and I’m planning on remastering it, as Eclipse is no longer updated.
Here’s some names I have so far.
Wraith
Taka
Aura
Reflex
Kauri
Karhu
Hexium
FF(FairFight)
Nexon
NetEase
I would love to hear your thoughts.
Aura might be the best choice if you’re going for a remaster, as it’s got the closest connection to Eclipse’s name
FairFight and NetEase sound like antivirus names, and Hexium is the name of a roblox exploit
I’m not exactly remastering Eclipse as in continuing the Eclipse branding, just remaking it.
And I agree with you when you say “FairFight”&“NetEase” sound like AV-Names, and I never knew Hexium was a exploit.
Reflex, very interesting name.

Maybe the name lazorus would fit?

“NetEase” sounds like some top notch stuff.
I always thought naming things in Latin is cool. So what about “prohibeo” it means “forbid” since you are forbidding hacks in your game. Or if you’re heading for a cool name maybe “M9TR1X” which refers to Matrix but with numbers replacing “A” and “I”.
If you’re gonna use NetEase your gonna need the words to have a meaning probably. Like what does the word Net And Ease have to do with your anti-cheat. It sounds like something that makes your wifi network faster.

One of the names I have is Bugle’s anti cheat or something that credits who made it.
RoGuard, very easy to tell people it’s for keeping your games safe.
Maybe, its been used a ton and the name is almost/kinda cringe.
Yeah, I love the idea of that.
Kinda like “Robo’s AntiCheat”
The creator being Robo.
Out of the options, my favorite is FairFight.

I think a good name would be BB-AC (BugleBoy-AntiCheat) or NB-AC which ever username you mainly go for.
From reading the previous thread you created, it seems like “FJ’s anticheat Fork” would be appropriate.
