About Us

We are an extremely driven and professional development team that has put months of work and dedication into completing our project, which is expected to release in late December. We have an incredible amount of progress on the game’s development. Our games release is being eagerly awaited by a community of supporters from other Electric State genre games, with a discord server of over 2,000 members and a roblox group of roughly 1,000 supporters. The game is based on a book written by Swedish author and artist Simon Stålenhag, a dystopian society taking place in 90s California. Ack OOP shouldn’t be a requirement, it is a very simple concept. The only reason not much ppl use it is the fact that most ppl watch youtube to learn and OOP videos r rare on youtube.

Interesed in the position.
Just added you.

Sorry I’m not really sure what you are trying to say here. Could you be more specific?

He means, OOP shouldn’t be a requirement, since it’s considered ‘complicated’.

Actually yes.

OOP is absolubtly useful for a lot of stuff, so I don’t know why he said that.

Some people prefer not to use OOP, either because they don’t want to learn it, they think its too hard, or they just generally dislike OOP. I’m an example of the third case, I honestly dislike OOP.

Why wouldn’t you like OOP?
It’s useful for anything

I’m just saying that having OOP as a requirement can cut out quite a bit of options, my reasoning isn’t important to the topic.

I’m sure the reason they’re required to have OOP is because it’s the paradigm the lead scripter is comfortable with, and that’s the approach they’re taking for the game’s code base

If you don’t even know how OOP works then I doubt, that you are going to get accepted as a lead scripter.

I never said I was applying to this topic, I just was replying to someone.

Anyone who reads this, I do not recommend doing this. They very well just could be looking for proof that you wrote it, but they still could take it. That being said, I do not know this company, so it could be completely legit and it is completely up to you. Just a word of advice.

Rather than accusing someone of something from a unclear sentence, you can just ask for the OP to clarify on what they meant in the post. What they probably want is just some examples of your code from a personal project or something from a commission out of context. From my experence the project pacifica team has been very trustworthy and have followed through with all their promises. I honestly think it would be a bit of a streach to say they want to steal your scripts like you implied in your post.

I didn’t say oop is complicated, in fact it’s simple. It just shouldn’t be a requirement bc it’s a simple concept and is considered basic in other langs.

Interested, Sent a friend request Eric_Homemade#1243.

I love the progress made, and if the project is still going and if you’re looking for a co-UI designer,
