You can change the lighting in the viewport somewhat right? Set those setttings to the lighting/camera settings, and see if it looks better.

bro, Roblox needs to update this. This is kind of dumb. Viewports are pretty much useless rn for making anything. outlines on transparent viewports make it so you can’t use it for FPS guns, bad lighting quality makes seamless portals impossible, terrible performance issues makes it bad for even putting them in menu screens. These issues have been going on since its release 5 years ago. It feels like a very unfinished forgotten feature.
I really wanted to use ViewportFrames for something but after testing them on some old models I found that they’re really ugly in my use-case. Here’s a comparison of (almost) exactly the same camera/model setup.

Hello, so I just recently noticed my screen animation hitches when there are a larger number of viewport frame item displays on screen. This is really unfortunate, the geometry shouldn’t even be that complex that’s in the viewport frame, they’re just standard character limb meshes to display shirts or whatnot. There’s also at most 24 per page, which isn’t a lot really.
It would be extremely time consuming to bake individual images and use those instead, not really sure what I can physically imp…

its for a game im working on and it’s key feature heavily relied on utilizing viewports, but I think I might abandon it realizing how awful they are.

I mean, the creator of Tunneler did a pretty good job.
