Boop! we want this now!!!
Bumping this post again. Really hard for someone who makes PS1 themed games, as most if not all textures are under 256x. Mapping textures into a 1024x tile sheet helps, but the filtering still applies, and it is not scalable like a material. I also have to convert normal 256x images to 1024x images but, due to the filter, there are black lines if the UV is on an edge. This means I need to ever so slightly move the UV in these areas.
With that being said, adding different interpolation types (such as nearest neighbor), would greatly improve performance in games, as we wouldn’t need to upscale our images. It may be possible to use CanvasDraw to create your own interpolation effect if this does not get added.
10 years later, I’m from 2025 and I want this
collect my bumps, seriously this is STILL not a option?
ImageLabel.ResampleMode exists, albeit only for UI.
People want this for Decals, Textures, Meshes, Materials, Beams, ParticleEmitters, etc. tho.
Then instead of this request please support the other one
10 years later and we still don’t have this basic and much needed feature, bump
like the guy above said, go here ResampleMode for Materials and Textures
