Yeah but if you open the Roblox menu. You will also see the list of players and you can’t spoof the username or Avatar image because that’s in CoreGui. The CoreGui is inaccessible to regular scripts.
Using the roblox menu, you will only know if you go through everyone and check their usernames. No badge shows in the menu.
I don’t see anything wrong with this idea being implemented, albeit it being restricted to more popular games is offputting.
It could simply be named ‘Ghost Mode’ and be quite helpful for moderators especially if added to the experience as a setting for developers. Just add the user and they can get a pop-up saying “Join as Ghost?”, allowing them to do their job without somebody leaving because they see a moderator.
I’ve also seen comments (snarky and not) regarding the usage of an alt account- this too is flawed in that if it’s a team of people (unlikely, but still possible) exploiting the game, they’ll take note of people who look like normal people but have moderation powers. With ghost mode, they can’t do that.
Alternatively, but requiring developer intervention, is cross-server shenanigans. Or through the use of off-site stuff too (discord bots most than likely).
