But why? I am a devoloper of sim games and when it comes to sim games you must be quick with everything ane be stacked with robux. Now you are just making it harder so now there is an even more gap between rich and poor people advertising and also decreasing advertsiing value.
OK I complete disagree with this new update, the robux times it takes until friday or maybe a week
I understand the concerns of preventing fraud and making the platform as secure as possible. With this, I also understand that you wonāt be able to disclose the criteria which are used to determine who is seen as potentially fraudulent and who is not. On the other hand I do feel that this change is harsh to a lot of starting developers on the platform. Not only starting developers, but also developers with a solid Robux revenue stream are somewhat affected. By the amount of pending Robux, I used to be able to monitor specific trends. With this change, that also becomes harder. On top of that, I notice that a lot of developers are seeking some more transparency with this system, it canāt hurt that bad to give a slightly more detailed explanation (even with the idea of fraud prevention in our mind)?
This is going to have ripple effects on developers that rely on Roblox for income, paying consultants, employees, etc.
This sounds more like an obscure method of fraud prevention to me. Each case should be grouped accordingly into the different sale categories (shirts, pants, game passes, developer products & ugc items) and then assorted in order varying from the size of the sale, they should be individually or bulk-assessed. You can use the more than three days scheme for individuals you can put under a watch list or suspect of regulary spotted processing large amounts of robux and quickly dispensing it.
As usual, thereās very little transparency. At least itās not a āpayout once a monthā system that most platforms use.
Yes. Waiting 3+ days is too long. Builders that have commissions will get scammed more if they provide the item and such before payment.
What about developers who need to get money into their hands fast? 3 days and the long dev ex wait time is already long enough, not to mention itās currently very hard for some people right now to get money. Waiting up to a month to get paid isnāt ideal, what about people who are struggling? How are they gonna pay for necessities? This hurts more people than it benefits.
3 days was an inconvenienceā¦ But seriously up to 7 days? It was already just extra to have to wait 3 days to pay developers or to wait for payments to come inā¦ I donāt see why this is needed.
This is awful three days was perfect. I get that its good to prevent fraud. But its gonna hurt smaller developers who need funds asap. Maybe its possible for the group holder to lock the amount of time they want for pending funds.
I do know that is meant to be for security reasons but to me thatās justā¦ wow. It was 3 days and us, sellers were mad as heck and wishing for it to be 1 day at least. Now it is 1 week? The system is getting worse by time in my opinion. I have been a roblox user since 2016 on my main account and eversince I only seen 5-6 updates that were good for roblox but the rest, noā¦
No offense, but this is a terrible idea. Innocent developers, who donāt scam shouldnāt have to wait a week for their hard-earned funds.
3 days was hard enough, now a week? This has to be one of the worst ideas.
I actually have a question on this. Is the holding period based on the price of the item? And just generally how is ārisk of fraud/abuseā determined?
Because if this is targeted towards specific occasions, then would it affect us not as much meaning we should expect most gamepasses to go through in 3 days anyways
Completely against this. Itās already quite long and when combined with the time it takes to DevEx this will significantly hurt smaller games and developers.
I have to pay some people for making small commissions for me, this is going to slow down, 1. my ability to get higher quality buildings, 2. the date Iād be able to get my game out.
Roblox should be focusing on better account security, and bugs in their engine/website.
The ONLY way Iād be fine with this update was if the tax was lowered to 10% or no tax at all.
This will heavily hurt my career.
When this goes into effect there should be a way to directly transfer your own user robux to group funds. Waiting up to 7 days to be able pay someone is not very ideal.
And if we could directly transfer robux into a group there shouldnāt be a 30% cut either, I feel like if you need to add group funds, it should be quick and you should keep all the robux that you earn, especially since it is your own group.
Im sure this idea has been talked about a lot before but I think this is an appropriate post to have this onā¦
With all due respect, as a clothing creator, if the goal here is to protect the earnings of designers then I really donāt see how this is meant to do anything more than add insult to injury for us when our content isnāt even protected in the first place and has never been.
I know this opinion wonāt make a difference at all to what Roblox does, but all Iāll say is that Roblox needs to stop thinking that harming developer experience drastically is worth killing a tiny fraction of the large black market. Why does it take Roblox, a multi-billion dollar company, so long to implement basic security and fraud detection? Instead, they decide to completely ruin integral parts of their developer experience. A lot black market funds go through limiteds now anyway, thatās why every <500 robux item gets projected weekly.
By the way, Iām not at all suggesting that the right thing to do is to add a 3-day wait period to selling limiteds. However, that would follow Robloxās weird pattern of making very insignificant dents in the black market that also manage to cause headaches to every single normal user on the site. Unreal.
firstly you take 30% of our income and now you make us wait a week?
This is not a good ideaā¦ I get impatient waiting for my Robux already, PLEASE do not do this!!
