Could we at least see a timer on when we should expect to receive the funds? It’s already a big inconvenience to wait three days, but now the unpredictability of three to seven days?

+1 to all the people pointing out how useless this is. There must be a better way - in real life, if I wanna bank transfer money to someone, I don’t have to wait a week. It’s instant. I get that the idea of this is ‘we get enough time to stop fraudulent robux going through’, but why can’t you just delete the robux and anything bought with it? Yes this will cause issues in resolving things (as the lost robux may cause people to go into negative balances etc) but any amount of that, even just taking everything away from someone who fraudulently made robux without doing anything else, has got to be better than a BLANKET seven-day wait, or indeed any wait at all.
But this is Roblox we’re talking about, so no matter what we say or do they’ll just do it anyway, knowing we’re not exactly going to leave the platform over it.

as a developer who needs to not only receive funds and put it into a group later, i need to pay my staff members. this will be troubling. please reconsider.

Agreed-- if I want to place funds into my group, I’m now paying a 30% fee and waiting 7 days.
There needs to be a better approach to this.

You do realise these compromisers will just transfer robux through limiteds 
. This is only affecting developers.

At least tell us or give us a clue which day the Robux will exactly come. I get stressed out if i’m expecting the Robux to come in 4 days and it comes in 7 days.
I have people to pay and I don’t want them to wait an uncertain amount of time to get paid.

It’s not a good idea to punish the innocent developers who have the good intentions of paying their developers or staff members by upping the pending sales wait period to 7 days.

This is annoying 3 days is already long. If you don’t detect any abuse for certain users can you make it shorter?

This is pretty ridiculous, 7 days for this? It is usually people who want to transfer Robux to group funds, maybe make a log system for suspected botting?
If not that, maybe make some systems (like needing 100 Group Funds to make a badge) to 100 Robux in your account/group funds?

There doesn’t seem to be an actual clear reason for the extension period for pending funds. The three day wait already makes being a developer on Roblox hard, and an extension without proper reasoning is unnecessary. Is there a more detailed statement for “security” as the only reason able to be disclosed?

Not sure why somebody thought increasing the time for pending funds would be a good idea. This is going to be extremely hard for people who have to DevEx on-time for their housing payments and probably cause a lot of developers to find somewhere else to work. For the smaller developers, commissions are going to be a lot more annoying to deal with and frustrating.

Band-aid solutions to overarching issues is nothing new to any part of the Roblox platform, and it’s sad because Roblox is the best at what they do currently - which sets the bar at a very weird place for (potential?) competition. What’s worse is that there’s really no transparency for this specific update here either. This is another step in the direction Roblox is taking, where they are de-prioritizing the needs of developers on the platform. If Roblox continues to make changes like these, then I hope the engine updates make it worth sticking around

This is another disappointing piece of information to hear on Roblox’s end. Three days are already long enough for me and the hundreds of other developers who have replied to this thread, with the addition of thousands of small developers not aware of this change happening.
Just because a small percentage of transactions (under 1%) are fraudulent doesn’t mean that you should be punishing the 99% of developers who follow the system fairly.
Reconsider, please.

I feel like 3-7 days is far too long to wait. A better solution would be to keep the old 3 day wait and to have the buyer have a chance to report them if they were scammed within a month or so, that way, the scammer can be banned or temp banned. The buyer would receive all of the robux they lost back too. I know this sounds like a lot to do, but waiting a whole week is ridiculous and we lose 30 percent of income. If your going to do this at least decrease the tax percentage. Please change this.

Why punish newcomer groups for no reason then? How would you have felt having lower standards because you decided to make a group after this? It’s either all or nothing.

Using the black market is against the rules but its biased to judge new players because they are simply new. Similar things like this happens all the time.
