Incoming Adjustment to 'Pending Sales' Waiting Period

The 30% tax does have a reason. 1. Hosting your games, Roblox has to run them on there machine’s in return you pay some tax. You also make games on Roblox Studio and that is softwhere provided by them also funded by your tax.

If you was hosting your own servers then I would agree with less tax but in reality they host our games and hosting isn’t free.

With a 3-7 day window, there really should be some sort of a fast track for people depositing to their own groups.

When I use my own credit card to purchase Robux to move money to my own group so I can pay those that work for me and test my games I’m sorry but telling them it’s going to be a week until the Robux becomes available is absurd.

My account is properly linked, every verification and security I can do is done, my account is premium and Roblox has well past verified my transactions over a hundred times. I find it unacceptable under these terms that it will take me a week to put Robux in my own group to pay people.

While I understand Roblox is riddled with fraud, though I doubt they’ll actually start catching it with this change, there needs to be a better way than the archaic method we have now especially with this currently ridiculous deposit time.

I can reply to a spam text message and have $1000.00 deposited into my bank account from a company I’ve never done business with faster than I can get Robux into my group from a company I’ve been purchasing from for the last 9 years.

Why not transfer cash to those who have bank accounts instead? Then you have lesser that gets taxed and lesser people to explain to.

To those that can, I typically prefer PayPal, but I hire a lot of people from Roblox that don’t have this ability and they prefer Robux. It’s difficult to increment gift cards and they don’t really like the whole T-Shirt method though they will do it. Most people who want to be paid in Robux prefer group payout.

This also applies to testers as most of those transactions are far too small to do frequent cash transfers anyway.

There’s a lot of people too young on here for that and I’m not about to not hire a talented artist or builder just because they aren’t old enough for PayPal. Robux is the preferred method for many on here and Roblox knows that.

If you try you could In just a day that’s how much it took me to get upgraded to a member

I don’t know?

Might be in dept, rent bills, loan repayment, collage dept?

Compromised accounts could purchase a product then sell the robux offsite.

I understand this change, its to keep the roblox platform more secure.

but

Is A LOT of time for your revenue coming from clothing, gamepass, ect. 3 days was already long for me, but up to a week is a lot of time to get your robux from said thing. On top of that is tax so when someone purchases your item you get 60-30% of that robux. So, your basically losing time to get your money and on top of that your losing 30% of that money your get from said item.

I know this is supposed to keep the platform safer and more reliable, but atleast dont make us designers and artists loose time and money on this. My suggestion is to make the margin a bit smaller rather than bigger. I think that 3-5 days would be good because you don’t have a week to wait for your incoming robux from selling a t-shirt or something.

Plus, this 3-day waiting period was long enough. A Lot of people who hated the 3 day waiting period hate it even more because they have to wait 3+ days. I mean, having to wait up to 7 days to get robux is really hard for those big groups out there. Like groups who have millions upon millions of people in them. It would take them A LOT of time to get their 10k+ robux from robux merch. And since these groups are so big, they might have to wait MORE than 7 days to get their robux because of the incoming robux traffic.

This also affects small groups alike, when friends want to do a contest, they would have to wait 3+ days to get that robux for that giveaway/contest.So, Imagine having a lemonade stand or a comic stand and when somebody buys a lemonade/comic, you would have to wait 3-7 days to get the money from the stand. I think this update is kinda broken considering the fact that people have to wait over 3 days now to get their money from clothing and stuff.

But there is a good side to these bad things.

This change makes the platform…

Even though its a lot of time to get your earnings from group sales and games, but your earnings will be more secure now. An way safer than before. Its making the roblox platform a better place to play on. Not a worse place. A better one. And this time, your robux will be safer than ever even though some groups have to wait 168 hours to get their revenue… ok, that sounds way longer in hours… ANYWAYS, your robux is safer than ever. And whatever happens to your robux, it will be safe.

and it…

but this is trying to make the platform more safer. If we had a platform without this kind of people handling roblox, the roblox platform would be full of scammers and exploiters and botting even worse than it is now and more. Without this kind of moderation, guidance and security, your roblox account just could have been hijacked right about now.

Remember the time where XXS was a problem. Look how fast they saw this and took it down. And Cross-Site-Scripting is hard to take down. I can’t speak for all of the people at roblox, but I bet it was hard to take down that security loophole.

This is how roblox is one of the most secure websites on the planet. Even though it might days upon days to get your robux, you wont be hijacked, hacked or even worse. Your games will be safe. And your carers on roblox will be safe. I think its bad to wait 7 days and it should be shortened or something. But i also think this is a good idea that roblox is actually making decisions on these type of things.

This is my say in this clouded mess of things.

Peace,

Guys Don’t calling out others.

It’s the Developer Fourm Rules.

If Roblox wants to fix the issue, they should use alternative methods of security.

These include:

  • Pin locking item trading.
  • Pin locking limited selling and buying.
  • Adding an email reply when a user’s email has been removed, and changed, so it can be reverted.
  • Roll back option for purchases that haven’t gone through the pending sales wait period.
  • Reworking the support system so requests are more accurately received, and resolved faster.

Why these points should be added.

  • Pin locking item trading & Pin locking limited selling and buying. | Roblox has a one time item reversion policy, and because users can get hacked more than one, items may not be able to be received again, and in return, losing the time they spent the items too.

  • Adding an email reply when a user’s email has been removed, and changed, so it can be reverted. | Roblox doesn’t have this feature, and when emails are removed, users aren’t able to revert them. In the instance of being hacked, a user could lose access to their account forever. it is said that the support system will only return an account if the email used is the first one on the account. That is not always the case.

  • Roll back option for purchases that haven’t gone through the pending sales wait period. | If a transaction is made accidentally, or by a hack, allow it be reverted by the indivudals themselves. This prevents the need for certain support tickets unless the wait time has passed.

  • Reworking the support system so requests are more accurately received, and resolved faster. | The support system doesn’t work well enough to resolve issues around money, fast enough to work in the 3-7 day time peirod.

Honestly, this is a terrible idea for people. If someone hires devs and they get it done quicker than expected, they should at least be able to have something of a direct pay. I don’t like how this system may turn out for everyone.

I think there are better solutions to eliminate fraud than a 7 day waiting period. For example, Stripe (an online payment processor) uses ML to detect if a purchase seems fraudulent, if it seems suspicious it requires the customer to answer some questions. If the user fails, the purchase doesn’t go through; I think Roblox should implement a combination of AI Algorithms, Security Questions, and a 3 day (not 7) wait period.

This is absurd, 30% tax and waiting 7 days?
I mean seriously? There’s so many more solutions to this issue.

I like those ideas.

These are along the uses that many companies and organizations use. For instance, Bank of America uses these features to help prevent fraudulant activity, along with others.

I think its important to also reference from other things to see how Roblox could develop its security features.

Some of those AI Algorithms could use the basis of so much. These include:

  • The location of the logged-in devices in the real world.
  • The amount of failed password attempts on an account.
  • The usage of Roblox Tokens to access accounts.

I’m already a member, but to become a regular member one of the requirements is to get posts through posting approval, something they made nearly impossible before but now literally impossible as it’s actually been removed.

With no posting approval the automatic system that allowed you to move up if you could pull off what was a miracle is now defunct and no alternate pathway has been addressed. Heck, they haven’t even acknowledged that the path is even broken now despite clarifying “how you move up” and separately removing posting approval which was a requirement.

I’ve definitely been happier over updates. This one just makes me mad.

Adding on, I suggest that if the account is using a different IP address, then they would receive an email, saying asking for permission like 2FA and asking how long to keep the IP address registered as whitelisted IP addresses and for how long.

Yes This is because to insure security but again think about the developers.1 week its a bit too long.

Please e re-read. It clearly states a range from 3 to 7 days.

Waiting a week? Seriously. This is absurd. Additionally what qualifies as a “risk of fraud or abuse”. How do you even go about determining that?

Additionally, what happens if Roblox doesn’t approve sales. Do developers just lose out on that? What happens if it’s a legitimate transaction and you flag it… You guys don’t have a good track record with moderating malicious vs non malicious assets to begin with, why should we trust you to additionally moderate funds.
