Incomplete text is displayed when using rich text

Continuing the discussion from Rich Text using incorrect font on runtime:

Reproduction Steps

  • Create a TextLabel
  • Enable RichText and TextScaled

Expected Behavior

  • The text should be fully visible

Actual Behavior

Issue Area: Engine
Issue Type: Display
Impact: High (this is visible to all players playing my game)

It started happening since @Tiffblocks enabled a fix to a related issue.

I believe I am having a similar issue. This RichText, TextScaled TextLabel on a SurfaceGui disappears when it gets too big.

As you can see it displays correctly when scaled down:

When undoing the decrease in size, it suddenly displays correctly.

However, when play testing or restarting, it turns invisible again. This is also an issue in-game.

This is the reason why this bug should be fixed very quickly because e.g. in my game which has more than 800 concurrent players there are signs in the lobby which are relatively important; however, due to this bug, these show nothing.

This is a serious issue affecting my game as well. Before, this was happening on some lower end mobile devices, but as of yesterday it is happening constantly on all devices. I started receiving bug reports about this after 8pm est yesterday, if it helps.

I was able to reproduce the issue, and filed a ticket into our internal database. We are working on it, and will come back when we have updates!
