My entire system is built on particles. It would take ages to convert this system (and it wouldn’t look as good)
That’s a common sentiment, for example: What I could do with 3 particle emitters, now required 3 folders and 9 scripts.
How do you help to increase the chances of roblox fixing this? people have been replying to this for 7 years straight.
bumping again, the unified lighting update is a great chance to update both lights and particles to provide more immersive effects in large places.
Extra bump. Seriously, we have minor life changes like increased light distance - yet we have NO far particle distance? Yeah, right.
Also going to bump. I make aircraft battle games, and if contrails were visible from the ground (more than 20k studs away) it would add to the realism to an insane degree. Why isnt this a thing yet? Just do it, it couldnt be that hard! 7 years!!
Giant bump, if Roblox want’s to keep up as a modern platform, they need to start working on the important stuff, like this.
Just thought about this since I play a lot of games on Roblox that use aircraft, and yeah, it would make games like these that have large spaces between places feel just that much more realistic.
Bump bump bump

I just don’t get it, why does roblox allow billboard gui’s to have a maximum range to see that we can edit, but particle emitters don’t? Roblox, please make particle emitters have a configurable range
Bump!!! Explosions from far away could look better ![]()
roblox recently did it for lights, particles should be next
Hell, particles should’ve been first.
We’ve wanted it for particles more than lights for years!
Bumping. This needs to be fixed, preferably with a slider for how far we want the draw distance to be (like BillboardGuis). Let us dictate the performance of our own games, Roblox.
Since Roblox likes to add limits that are almost never able change, it’s better to make your own version… (if its possible)
No, we want it fixed.
We don’t simply wanna make more complicated code and spend more time because Roblox is too lazy to implement a 7 year wanted feature that was never properly addressed.
We can’t keep letting Roblox get away with stuff like this.. they need to know.
Bump oh my god. use case has been explained already
