Is tiling for surfaceappearance coming any time soon?
There should be a new object call SurfaceAppearance - that will give you some new options for your material.
I am highly interested in the concept of meshes being able to be deformed during run time. I have always wanted to make a hat that has the edges bounce while a player is moving fast, or a cape that flies much better in the wind than a cape constructed of 2000 ball joints or some expensive manual physics calculations (cough verlet integration)
However, will there be a small bottleneck of how many bones can be changes during run time without significant FPS drop?
I saw the same coin off of model resource. How did you manage to make the reflectiveness of the metal pop out more?

Bro yES.
Does anyone know when this will be out
I was working on a complex rig before but gave it up because roblox didn’t have a proper bone system so it’d look walk…well this is amazing!
I have read the documentation but still cant understand it clearly can some one tell me how I can deform a mesh?
I just have a quick question, can you make existing meshes into deformable ones or do you have to make them deformable meshes in blender?
P. B. R.
All I’ve ever needed.
this is so cool, i cant wait to try this in studio!
I would like sell my own pack animations !!! It’s could be very nice !! All Hail is ROBLOX !!
You make something in blender and then you put some BONES in it and then you import it to roblox.
At least it is how I did it
I don’t have time right now , someone should rig and animate a realistic tree and post a gif :o
Skeletal Deformation has so many non-character use cases
Wow, I can’t wait to test this out.
This update along with custom materials will change Roblox in such a big way. Roblox games won’t even look like Roblox in a year, which is a huge step in an epic direction. I’m super pumped for the next year. But I have 1 question, can we expect this to replace r15?
YES. I always wanted the ability to edit meshes uniquely without using blender. This will make modeling remarkably easier as we don’t have to have blender and studio open at the same time, while editing meshes and testing/exporting them all the time. LOVE this!
I am so excited for all of this to go live! So much to look forward into 2020.
What i’m really excited about is the custom materials. Can’t wait to see game with this.
Is there a way to make SurfaceAppearance work like a texure rather than a decal?
