I found out about Roblox from my friend back in 2016.
I started using free models and played around, and now I make my own models.
I want to be better at making realistic cars (not mesh, sorta blocky) and overall be better at building.
I am currently a Builder.

Hullo people! So, I first played Roblox about 7 years ago, I played for a while but ultimately moved on. Then, nearly two years ago my friend convinced me to try it, and Iāve been playing ever since then!
In terms of development, Iām, relatively new to Roblox/Game development, started in about March!
I was doing the building, wasnāt too great at it, so tried Scripting (I come from a background of Python) and fell in love with Lua. I also do some work with GUIs and GFX.
In terms of goals, I want to make a game that I can feel proud of, but more importantly, people enjoy! I hope to expand my skill set, maybe try making some music for the games I make.
Anyways, itās great to be on here, the DevForum is great and Iāve been using it a lot- so canāt wait to get more involved!

I found Roblox through a friend and we were both fans of this book series called Warriors, and he found a RP game of it on Roblox and asked me to join. During the quarantine, has lots of free time. Current goals are to become a successful developer. My role is a programmer/animator.

Hi, Iām new in the forum (not so new but didnāt used it so much), I found roblox back in 2011/13, played as a guest then made an account in 2014. [EDITED because I wrote 2016 instead of 2014 ;-;]
Iām working on a server lag fighting game, where server side bricks spawn and bricks people have to sword fight, Iām also working on an entire military/clan group where we want to make multiple games.
Iām more of a programmer than anything else, I still try my best at doing other things.
And yeah I hope that I will find my place in here.

I found Roblox when my friends in school introduced it to me.
I got started on the development platform when I realized that other people made all of my favorite games on Roblox. I wanted to learn how to make games, as well.
My current goals for this platform for me are to become a decent scripter. I like to script and work with GUIs.
My role in the development community is a programmer/scripter. Pretty sure those are the same things.
I hope to some day work for Roblox as a professional programmer and work on games with others for the public.
Hi! Iām Derekxxdol, Iāve been trying to get into the Dev Forum for a while and Iām finally here. So Iāll introduce myself.
I found ROBLOX six and a half years ago, and I still remember how. I was looking for online flash games, and for some reason, ROBLOX popped up. Clicked on it, read about it, and signed up.
I got started with development out of boredom. After playing roblox for a bit I thought Iād try out the studio, it turned out a lot different than I thought it would be, (in a good way.) Iām not a famous game maker of any sort, I just enjoy making small projects for fun.
My current goal is to fully learn how to script. Most of my scripting (with a few exceptions) is me following tutorials on Youtube, so itād be nice to fully learn how. I only know a tiny bit of it.
My role in the developer community is Builder. Iām not a crazy art guy but I can make a few things when I have to, and as I said, Iām not that good on programming at all.

I found roblox almost three years ago I think, I was watching youtube videos and I came across a roblox video! I forget who it was by, but I remember they were playing a pizza tycoon game. I really enjoyed the video, so i decided to download roblox.
After a while I found out that you could make games on roblox, my first game really wasnāt much, just a baseplate with free models.
I quite genuinely love building games, Iām working on a city vibe type game at the moment. Iāve also been making GFX for the past few months, though I donāt enjoy it as much. I can animate a little bit, on blender it takes about 1 day to render a full second though. If I animate on roblox itās normally just for practice or to make seat animations. Iām very bad at modelling in blender, and scripting, I hope I can get better at them within the next year or so!

Hello, I am Pieces2010. I got accepted on to Dev Forum a few months ago and it feels great. I can ask for support if none of my scripting solutions are working, I can easily recruit builders and scripters, etc. I hope Dev Forum continues to grow!

Iām not too new, but I am still new since Iāve been here for 2 months so not an old user.
I found Roblox one day at my schoolās technology room. Some person was playing it, and I saw this 3-D world with so many things to doā¦
A few weeks later, I spelled Robot wrong and I found Robloxā¦ I didnāt know it was that awesome platform I had saw in the technology room.
My sibling played Roblox one day, and so I downloaded Roblox as well in 2016! (I was guest 1729)
I then got an account in 2017, and this is my second account. My goal is to create fun and entertaining games in Roblox, and I mainly program on Roblox.
Itās surprising how my journey to where I am now started in a small technology room. Possibilities in Roblox are endless. Iāve learnt a lot from here, and I sure wonāt be quitting anytime soonā¦

Iām a GFX Artist, Builder and Intern Programmer from āThailandā! I start dev ROBLOX game since 2018 (2 years ago) while I was playing a game and I once think āIf others can do like that then why I canāt?ā and then my passion has sparked in my mind. Iāve been progressed and work in many ROBLOX groups/clans, some of them are famous but some are not. Some of my past experiences can be found at my ROBLOX profile, Iām glad that I got accepted into the ROBLOX DeveloperForum, actually I tried to join this since 2018 but I donāt know how and plus my alt got deleted so I got no chance but now, I finally be a DevForm member!

I found Roblox on a Doubleclick ad (something similar to below) on my first Roblox account (July of 2011).
I got started with Roblox development as a programmer in 2015 due to fiddling around with Free Models and seeing what I could do with them. My current goals on the platform are to learn more about Lua so that I can transfer my knowledge to different variants of the language (Garryās Mod Lua or ComputerCraft/OpenComputers, a Minecraft mod). My current role in the community is taking the shape of a programmer, but Iāve tried building once or twice to no avail.
Iād like to include that my pronouns are he/him, and I am autistic + ADHD afflicted. Donāt be afraid to talk to me though

A: I found roblox by the youtuber called Denis, I watched him for a few days and then decided to make an own account on roblox and play games!
Q: How did you get started with development on the Roblox platform?
A: Almost a year later I decided to make a fun game to get myself into developing. I mostly used free models because I dināt know how to do it myself. But now Iāve learned to Build and Modely Myself!
Q: Current goals/achievements on the platform
A: Currently I wanna make a portfolio to give to game developers that are Interested in hiring me to see all my previous work in a short but good portfolio.
Q: What is your role in the developer community? (eg. GFX, UI Designer, Programmer, Builder etc)
A: I am a Builder and Modeler but you will mostly see me building.

I discovered Roblox from a friend who recommended me to play with him. I started developing my own game about 4 months ago because I believed I can make a game that people will like. I also liked the idea of having a job as a game creator. I plan to go big in the future and share my success with others. I am ItzMeZeus_IGotHacked. A few years ago, my cousin introduced me a game called The Plaza on Roblox. At that time, I didnāt know Roblox and thatās how I met the community of Roblox.
I get started for Roblox development when I am 14 years old, which is currently now. That is because the quarantine encouraged me to code. I started to learn Python and then Lua for Roblox Development. I wanted to learn coding so I can understand how Roblox works and spend some time and create something cool in Roblox Studio.
My current goals are simple, being a professional programmer, builder and animator is all I need. I can learn composing if I can. By putting together all of these skills, I will be successfully to create a good Roblox game for everyone to enjoy.

I never really remember how I found roblox. I got it in 2016 in a away I forgot.
Soon after I developed a love for coding, I found Roblox Studio. I had installed Roblox on my computer at least 6 or so months from then (I started mobile), and started coding.
One of my biggest achievements I will hope to achieve soon is finding a way to fix my ray-casting errors. Once I fix it, several of my games will become a whole lot easier to create.
I am a scripter, and will hopefully always be.
Roblox has been one of my favourite development platforms, mainly because it has so many possibilities. Sure, it has some downsides, but I usually look past that, but when I remember them again, they get fixed. Anyways, Iām so glad to be here. Have a great day!
