Why was the btools command changed to give you the old, broken Roblox build tools instead of F3X’s building tools? Seems like a weird downgrade, I’m really confused.

The btools command always gave legacy Roblox building tools, you’re thinking of the f3x command. I don’t include F3X by default with the new admin, but you can place F3X in your ServerStorage to use it with the give command.

This is done for greater security, so that if a backdoor is suddenly discovered in f3x, nothing will happen to the main admin panel.

You can adjust what ranks can see that message with the joinNotificationRank value in the studio settings modulescript!

I’m taking a break to work on a game related to the new admin, in the meantime I’ll slowly update the admin to reach a more stable release and include all the features it is missing from the old one. Afterwards I have plans to improve the user experience by designing new interfaces to streamline game management.

The corresponding rank number listed in the above comment. For example a value of 2 would be moderator role or above.

Oh no I understand that, I just want an option to disable it entirely
You can set it to math.huge so only the game creator can see it. I’ll look into adding an option to disable it outright.

why not let people who are still on Kohls Admin Infinite be able to upgrade? like give them a notification or something and ask if they want to upgrade

There is automatic datastore migration for those using Kohl’s Admin Infinite, but other features don’t automatically work from the old admin such as custom commands. I’ll add a notification for developers to upgrade once the new admin has all the features it’s missing from the legacy one. However it will be the developer’s choice to switch so they don’t lose any functionality.

Pretty great that we’re reviving kohls admin into something more modern and secure. God I remember the days where games got hacked because of this.
