On the left I turned my 34x34 into 340x340, on the right is the 34x34 in a surface GUI with the resample mode set to pixelated.

I think upscaling it looks better

bumpa bumpa!!! This should ultimately be added, i feel like resample mode should be on most things visual infact, like textures or meshpart textures!

yet another bump, this would be seriously helpful in my current project and would allow for so much more creative freedom on the platform.

I am still waiting for this to be a thing.
My current work-around for this still involves upscaling the texture manually to double it’s resolution.

I was hoping I’d be able to reduce memory usage by using 256 pixel textures but if I have to upscale them to 512x512 and still have blurry pixels then it’s kind of useless.

All of this is kind of ironic because Roblox’ whole motivational quote is “Powering imagination” but there is a surprising amount of things that you simply can’t do in Roblox.

I found a solution for this issue, but that involves using 3rd party application…

If you use GIMP, there should be Scale Image text button at the image category like this screenshot


This screenshot is from the latest version of GIMP.

Click that in and then scale it in 1024x1024 (roblox’s max supported image resolution)

MAKE SURE TO SET INTERPOLATION TO NONE LIKE THIS SO IT DOESN’T DO LIKE THE TOPIC SCREENSHOTS

Once you’re finished, hit the button Scale, and then you’re done and you can upload to roblox now!

→ For now, you should try my solution until this becomes feature.

Hope this helps fix the issue.

This is not a good solution. I pointed this out in my other post. Textures still bleed, performance is worse, and it’s still slightly blurry. :frowning:
