Dude you are a developer. You will develop a game and earn money from that. You’ll need to give them your ID for DevEx too already?
Not once did the discussion refer to audio. They asked about models, decals, and meshes.
I’m also wishing to have a new feature. There should be a feature where if you go over the limit you pay in Robux. This update helps small developers. For those who can’t afford an ID
I don’t think anyone below 18 has an ID to show in the first place tbh, which is why people are upset about this.
And using a parents ID or bank account info is likely bannable now that this system is in place, so it doesn’t really leave people with many options now.
That is a modified image that was posted days before this topic was created. The post is much more authoritative than some user anyway.
Apparently that did not happen. You can still upload decals with no limit, but there is now a monthly limit that applies for each asset that you allow distribution of. If you are only uploading (non-audio) assets for your private use, then you don’t have to worry about limits.
Quote from the post you literally linked, directly under the image.
If it actually happens ill have to seriously consider moving to unity.
I think they are gonna be rolling this out over the next few weeks, so your gonna have to be patient which I doubt you have since I don’t either
You don’t need an ID to DevEx. You do, however, need a bank account, and in order to open a checking account you have to go to a bank in real life and provide documents such as your ID, so I guess you technically need one, but at no point when DevExing are you asked to send a digital copy of your photo ID. Just wanted to clear that up for the sake of accuracy, I agree with you that Roblox’s photo ID systems make sense.
I’m questioning. Is the public assets as in, everyone can use it (“Free”) or only you can use it, like audio’s?
Or will it be like in the past where the decal is just offsale, but it could still be used by others?
Otherwise, things uploaded by alternate/abandoned accounts (Quit ROBLOX) would be stuck and many games would also lose their textures. Example are older games that use decals from like, years ago (Examples: The Iron Cafe, Natural Disaster Survival)
In this case the public assets are free-to-take, as opposed to public audio where it will be usable even if its offsale (if Roblox ever does allow most audio to go public again, and if it’s going to work that way). If I’m not mistaken, Roblox does not have plans to force-set these assets to private the way they did with audio, so it’s likely assets that comply with the community guidelines will remain visible and usable at the creators’ discretion.

So what about bulk imports, will I need to make all of those public individually, or will there be an option to bulk publicise?
This looks like a really great idea, now I can search for music, models easier without getting a malicious script in my game.
Yay! Free Models are getting better?!
It never said that when I uploaded the image so I just assumed it’s real. My bad.
I opened my studio and I didn’t get the new toolbox update… I really want it so bad to prevent myself from getting virus in my game. Does anyone know how to get this? because I saw a lot of people have this update already.
they already know your information lol, it’s just verifying your id with a giant database
Will this change be made to audios and get rid of the Audio Upload limit? It’d be great if we could have an unlimited audio upload, with the changes of a limit for what audios can be uploaded to the marketplace.
The plugins are almost all robux
