Next Gen Studio - Preparing for Takeoff! [Beta]

Does anyone know where the mesh import button has gone?

It seems to have vanished this this feature!

Is there gonna be some way to reenter the atmosphere and return to legacy?

I don’t like the new UI since I can’t find the toolbox.

Not bad. Since this can be autohided its good.

This in my opinion sucks so much, idk is it because I got so used to years of the old ui but I think some stuff shouldn’t be changed, it will take me so long to adjust, i feel like it would have been better to keep a way for us to choose what gen of ui we want

This is great, the only thing I’d improve is information density. The old UI was packed to the brim with buttons and toggles, while this UI opts for having fewer buttons with more padding. I’d say some sort of middleground would be great.

(I just updated studio and got this without enabling the beta feature, lol)

this ui is really bad, i hate it

Please don’t tell me this will be the intended way of accessing the device emulator.

This is one of my most used features, and it was nice to have it as a button you could toggle directly on the ribbon. Putting in a small ā€œViewā€ tab next to ā€œFileā€ and ā€œEditā€ (where you usually perform tasks relating to Studio and the place file itself) and calling it a day isn’t exactly great UX.

I hope we can continue to use the Legacy UI, new UI seems very enlarged and clunky. If we are being forced with this change, will there be a way to edit the density and make it look like the current/old one? I much prefer the legacy UI, feels as though the new one takes up too much vertical space.

There’s also a major issue, in which enabling the new UI causes unbearable lag, even on an absolutely empty baseplate. This should not be happening at all, as my PC specs are of a decent tier (i7 14700F, 32 GB RAM, RTX 4060). Is a fix being worked on for this or am I doing something wrong?

My custom icons do not work and I absolutely hate the way it looks. The previous menu was way better, new UI has stuff put in menus and it is slow

I’ll admit, this has a lot of great features to it, but…

THE OLD UI IS WAAAYYY BETTER! AND YOU’RE GOING TO FORCE THIS ON US?

ATLEAST allow us to choose between ā€œNext Genā€ studio UI and current UI. Like, please.

Just figured out how.

Still, I feel like it should already come pre-packaged considering how useful it is!

technically I don’t have anything against new UI but this topbar unused space is painful to watch

YES, please make an option to switch between two types of UI, I love being able to customize the things I am working with

So for players who don’t like the design will they be able to revert back to the normal one?

Love the UI change!

However, how do we minimize the topbar?

instead of just saying ā€œomg UI badā€ you should actually explain why it is bad and give the engineers better feedback to work off of when improving it.
