No longer permitted to save YouTube social links

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Navigate to the social link configuration page for your experience.
  2. Attempt to add a YouTube channel (not the handle link as that has always been broken as described here and here)
I’m unsure if staff would have one of these links, since old channel links no longer are publicly facing on most channels, as an example for testing; here is my channel link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAcs6st6Ant-lsOv1C6ybtQ
  3. Attempt to save and observe that you receive an error telling you that your link is “improperly formatted”.

Expected behavior

I expect my YouTube social link to be saved just like how other social link types are properly saved!

I made a post about this happening with a /c/ link a while ago but didn’t file as a bug.

Hoping they fix this as soon as possible since I need to fix my Twitch link :joy:

That post is for youtube handles, while this one is on youtube links on anything

The post I specifically linked to is not related to handles, just that I responded to a post about handles not being supported.

I believe this bug also extends to saving social links on Roblox profiles as well. The bug on profiles which prevented me from saving my YouTube channel onto the Social Links has also been affecting me

Since others have made it clear on this thread, this bug also impacts any other section of the site that supports YouTube social links.

Same Youtube link would work on older group but won’t work for newer group.

Can we get an update on this? This still isn’t fixed after a month, for what would seem like a very quick fix. Extremely annoying that I either cannot update my YouTube links or have to remove YouTube across the site. I’m guessing it was messed up after New YouTube URL handle format is invalid in YouTube link fields was reported because around a few weeks after that was reported, the old format doesn’t work anymore, but neither does the new format work either.

For me. I can enter my youtube social link by just doing (this) unless it was fixed already.
